3M Perfect-It EX Machine Polish Quart (06094) — professional swirl removal, extended working time

3M Perfect-It EX Machine Polish (06094) is a professional-grade quart polish engineered to remove compound swirl marks quickly while staying wet longer and minimizing pad sling.

This advanced machine polish from 3M combines a fine aluminum oxide abrasive with a formula designed for extended working time and improved pad adhesion. Technicians achieve refined, swirl-free finishes faster and with less material, making it well suited to collision repair shops and automotive paint finishing workflows. The polish integrates into the Perfect-It Paint Finishing System and pairs particularly well with black Perfect-It Quick Connect foam polishing pads for best results on all colors.

How does this polish speed up compound swirl mark removal?

The formulation uses a fine-grade aluminum oxide abrasive to cut uniformly and remove haze, holograms, and sanding marks without excessive reworking. Extended wet time keeps the product workable longer, so you apply less polish overall while maintaining effective cutting action.

• Fine aluminum oxide for consistent, quick cutting
• Longer wet time reduces reapplications
• Compatible with standard rotary and dual-action polishers

Will it reduce mess and cleanup compared with other polishes?

Yes. The Perfect-It EX formula adheres better to polishing pads, which reduces sling and the amount of overspray or residue left on surrounding surfaces. Less sling means faster cleanup and lower material waste after each job.

• Improved pad hold minimizes sling and overspray
• Less product spread simplifies wipe-downs
• Cleaner work area saves time between jobs

What results can I expect on different paint colors and finishes?

The polish is formulated for use across all OEM and refinish colors, producing a smooth, even gloss without introducing holograms or swirl patterns when used correctly. For best appearance, follow with the recommended foam polishing pads and finishing steps in the Perfect-It system.

• Consistent refinement on light and dark colors
• Removes fine sand scratches and micro-marring
• Delivers a uniform polished surface ready for protection

How should shops integrate this product into their workflow?

Use Perfect-It EX during the compound refinement stage, pairing it with black Perfect-It Quick Connect foam pads for optimal contact and finish. Its longer working time allows technicians to cover larger areas per application, improving throughput while lowering material cost per vehicle.

• Ideal for the Scratch Refinement stage of paint finishing
• Pairs with Quick Connect foam pads PN05707 or PN33285
• Suitable for rotary and dual-action polishing machines
