ACDelco engine air filter A3251C (42712666) — OE-fit pleated media, tight gasket seal for GM vehicles

This ACDelco GM Original Equipment air filter is built to the specifications GM engineers developed for production vehicles, offering the same fit and filtration approach used on the assembly line. It’s intended for Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac owners who want a direct-replacement filter validated by General Motors. The design focuses on keeping dirt and airborne debris out of the intake while matching the original part’s dimensions and sealing surfaces.

How does this filter protect my engine?

The A3251C uses a pleated media and a precise sealing edge to trap contaminants before they reach the combustion chamber. By reducing the number of particles entering the intake, it helps preserve engine components and maintain airflow consistent with factory intent.

• Pleated filtration media captures fine dust and larger debris
• Tight gasket seal minimizes bypass of unfiltered air
• OE-validated performance maintains manufacturer airflow targets

Will this part fit my GM vehicle and replace the OEM filter?

Yes — ACDelco GM Original Equipment parts like the A3251C are designed and validated to match the original parts used on specific GM vehicles. Always check the part number compatibility with your vehicle year, make, model and engine option before purchasing.

• ACDelco A3251C corresponds to GM reference 42712666
• Intended for specific Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac applications
• Exact dimensional fit reduces need for modifications at installation

How often should I replace the air filter and what maintenance is required?

Replacement intervals vary with driving conditions, but a general guideline is to inspect the filter at regular service intervals and replace it when visibly dirty or at the manufacturer-recommended mileage. Heavy dust, towing, or extended dirt-road use can shorten service life and warrant earlier replacement.

• Inspect during routine oil changes or service checks
• Replace if media appears heavily soiled, clogged, or damaged
• Follow GM vehicle maintenance schedule for exact mileage guidance

What distinguishes ACDelco GM Original Equipment from aftermarket filters?

ACDelco GM Original Equipment parts are engineered and tested to GM’s standards and may be identical to or validated against the parts used in vehicle production. That validation supports correct fit, sealing, and performance expectations set by the original manufacturer.

• Designed, engineered, and tested to GM specifications
• Backed by General Motors validation and quality controls
• Some parts were formerly labeled GM Genuine Parts or ACDelco Professional
