ACDelco Gold Spark Plug Wire Set 9726UU (88862391) — High-Temp Silicone, Fibreglass‑Reinforced

ACDelco Gold 9726UU (88862391) is a professional-grade spark plug wire set built with fiberglass reinforcement and high-temperature silicone to deliver reliable spark transfer and a factory-style fit.

This ACDelco Gold wire set replaces worn or damaged ignition leads with an aftermarket solution engineered to match the original equipment's fit, form, and function. Designed to cover a wide range of domestic vehicles, the set uses robust materials and terminal designs to resist heat, moisture, and corrosion while helping maintain efficient spark delivery to each cylinder.

How does this wire set help maintain engine performance?

The Gold 9726UU wires preserve consistent spark transmission by combining a conductor tuned for low resistance with a high-dielectric insulator that resists leakage. Proper spark transfer reduces misfires and supports steady idling and throttle response without altering the ignition system.

• Fiberglass-reinforced conductor for strength and stable electrical properties
• High-temperature silicone insulator reduces electrical leakage and heat damage
• Terminal design improves contact and prevents corrosion-induced signal loss

What features make installation easier and more reliable?

ACDelco designed the boots and terminals to mimic OEM shapes so the wires seat correctly on spark plugs and coils. The coil retainer and water-tight boot profile help prevent micro-arcing and moisture intrusion, simplifying a clean, secure installation that stays put under vibration.

• Boot geometry matches factory fit for straightforward routing and seating
• Coil retainer reduces fretting and keeps terminal contact secure
• Corrosion-resistant terminals ease removal and reinstallation over time

Which vehicles and applications does this set fit?

The ACDelco Gold 9726UU is offered as an aftermarket replacement covering a broad span of domestic makes and models. It’s intended for drivers needing a dependable direct-replacement wire set for routine maintenance or when diagnosing ignition-related issues.

• Aftermarket coverage for many GM, Chrysler, Ford and other domestic vehicles
• Designed to meet the physical and electrical specifications of the original equipment
• Good choice for routine maintenance, tune-ups, and ignition troubleshooting

What material and durability benefits should I expect?

The combination of high-dielectric insulators, fiberglass reinforcement and durable terminals delivers long service life under heat, vibration and exposure to engine contaminants. These materials help the set resist cracking, electrical degradation and terminal corrosion compared with basic wire options.

• Insulator uses high dielectric materials to limit leakage and aging
• Fiberglass reinforcement increases tensile strength and resistance to stretching
• Terminals and boot materials chosen for high-temperature and moisture resistance

Who is this for? The ACDelco Gold 9726UU (88862391) spark plug wire set is aimed at DIY mechanics, professional technicians, and vehicle owners who want an OEM-style replacement without sacrificing durability. It’s appropriate for anyone replacing aged or damaged ignition wires on the compatible domestic models, seeking dependable spark delivery and a straightforward swap-in installation. If you need wires that match factory fit, resist heat and moisture, and offer corrosion-resistant terminals for longer service intervals, this ACDelco Gold set is a practical aftermarket choice.
