Alpinestars SP-8 V3 Gloves — Full-Gauntlet Race Gloves L Black, CE-Certified, Touchscreen

The Alpinestars SP-8 V3 gloves are full-gauntlet, CE-certified sport gloves built from full-grain goat leather with molded knuckle armor, reinforced palms, and touchscreen fingertips for confident road and track riding.

Designed for riders who want professional-level protection without sacrificing everyday usability, the SP-8 V3 blends race-derived safety features with comfortable, all-day ergonomics. The gloves use premium goat leather for abrasion resistance, an anatomically pre-curved shape to reduce fatigue, and strategically placed ventilation to keep hands cooler during warm-weather rides. Every detail — from accordion stretch panels to a secure hook-and-loop wrist — is engineered to balance control, protection, and comfort across sport, touring, and urban use.

How do these gloves protect my hands during aggressive riding?

The SP-8 V3 incorporates reinforced impact and abrasion protection where it matters most: a dual-density SP knuckle system derived from MotoGP design, molded side panels, and extra padding in palm landing zones. CE certification confirms the gloves meet recognized safety standards for impact resistance and abrasion performance.

• Molded dual-density knuckle armor for impact absorption
• Reinforced palm and landing-zone padding to reduce road-contact injury
• Multi-panel leather construction increases durability at seams
• Full-gauntlet coverage for wrist and lower forearm protection

Will the SP-8 V3 still let me control the bike precisely?

Yes — the gloves are engineered for dexterity and grip, with a pre-curved finger profile and accordion stretch panels that follow the natural shape of your hand. Reinforced gripping surfaces and precise stitching maintain tactile feedback so levers and controls remain easy to modulate even after long rides.

• Pre-curved fingers reduce hand fatigue and improve lever reach
• Accordion stretch at fingers and thumb enhances mobility during aggressive inputs
• Reinforced palm zones preserve grip and tactile feel
• Secure hook-and-loop wrist closure keeps gloves stable under load

How do these gloves handle hot weather and touchscreen use?

Perforated leather zones and targeted ventilation panels promote airflow to help dissipate heat on warm days without compromising protection. Touchscreen-compatible fingertip patches let you use phones and GPS units so you can check navigation or gloves-on communications without exposing your hands.

• Perforation and ventilation channels for cooling airflow
• Touchscreen-friendly fingertips for device use while riding
• Breathable multi-panel construction to reduce sweat buildup
• Leather that stays supple for comfort during extended use

What fit and sizing features ensure a secure feel?

The SP-8 V3 uses an anatomically profiled design to match the hand’s natural curvature, minimizing pressure points and improving long-term comfort. A stretch insert at the wrist and an adjustable fastener let you fine-tune the fit, keeping the gauntlet sealed and the glove stable under braking and cornering forces.

• Anatomical pre-curved shape reduces wrist and finger fatigue
• Stretch wrist insert and adjustable hook-and-loop closure for a tailored fit
• Gauntlet length offers secure overlap with jacket cuffs
• Consistent paneling for predictable, repeatable fit each ride

Who is this for? The Alpinestars SP-8 V3 gloves suit sport and performance riders who demand race-grade protection and tactile control, plus touring and everyday riders who want long-ride comfort and practical features like touchscreen compatibility. If you ride spiritedly on the street, attend track days, or simply want a durable, CE-certified gauntlet glove with a classic black finish, the SP-8 V3 delivers a balanced mix of safety, comfort, and usability.
