APPERFiT Tailgate Hinge Kit for Chevy/GMC Silverado Sierra 2007-2025 — Left & Right Pair, Direct-Fit Corrosion-Resistant

APPERFiT Tailgate Hinge Kit replaces worn factory pivot hardware to restore smooth tailgate operation on compatible Chevrolet and GMC trucks.

If your pickup’s tailgate sags, squeaks, or no longer lines up, replacing the hinge assembly is often the quickest fix. This APPERFiT Tailgate Hinge Kit is a direct-fit aftermarket replacement for OEM part numbers 15192282 and 15206081 and is supplied as a left and right hinge pair plus mounting screws. The components are manufactured to match original dimensions so installation is straightforward and truck geometry is preserved.

How will this hinge kit improve my tailgate’s fit and function?

Worn tailgate hinges develop play and corrosion that make the gate misalign, hard to close, or noisy. Installing new hinges restores the original pivot points and reduces movement, improving latching, alignment, and overall feel.

• Replaces factory-worn pivots with OEM-matching dimensions for correct alignment
• Includes both left (driver) and right (passenger) hinges plus four mounting screws
• Reduces sag, rattling, and difficult latching when closing the tailgate
• Corrosion-resistant finish to maintain appearance under truck use

Which trucks and model years does this tailgate hinge kit fit?

The kit covers a broad range of Chevrolet and GMC light- and heavy-duty pickups. Confirm compatibility by cross-referencing the part numbers or checking fitment for your model year and cab configuration.

• Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD — 2007–2025
• Chevrolet Colorado — 2015–2025
• GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD — 2007–2025 (3500 HD up to 2021)

What’s included, and what should I expect during installation?

The package contains the left and right hinge assemblies and four mounting screws so you can complete a two-sided replacement in one visit. Installation is designed to match OEM mounting points; basic hand tools are usually sufficient, though alignment may require an assistant or jack for best results.

• 1 × left driver-side tailgate hinge; 1 × right passenger-side hinge
• 4 × replacement mounting screws included
• Direct-fit geometry — installs at original body-side mounting locations
• Suggested: basic sockets, torque wrench, and a helper to hold the tailgate during swap

Does this hinge kit come with a warranty or quality assurance?
