ARANA 12-inch 24 lb Gas Struts for LEER Canopy — 2-Pack, Precharged Corrosion-Resistant Replacements

These ARANA 12-inch, 24 lb gas struts (2-pack) replace LEER canopy lift supports (part C16-09903 / 691003) to restore smooth, reliable tailgate and hatch opening.

If your truck cap or LEER canopy lid sags, closes too quickly, or leaks hydraulic fluid, this two-pack of ARANA gas struts offers a direct-fit replacement so you can regain dependable lift assistance. Engineered for all-season performance from extreme cold to high heat, these cylinder-and-rod assemblies arrive prefilled and ready to install with basic tools. The kit lists multiple interchange numbers so you can confirm fitment with your canopy model before purchase.

How do these struts improve canopy opening and closing?

These gas springs supply consistent 24 lb push force to hold and lift the canopy hatch smoothly throughout its travel. With refined internal damping and tight seals, they reduce sudden drops, minimize bounce, and allow one-person operation without slamming.

• 24 lb nominal force to support typical LEER canopy lids
• Even damping for smooth motion and reduced vibration
• Precharged hydraulic oil and tight seals to prevent leaks
• Direct-fit replacement using supplied mounting ends for simple swap

Are these struts durable enough for year-round use?

Yes—the ARANA struts are built from industrial Grade 45 high-carbon steel with multi-layer chrome plating and wear-resistant hydraulic fluid, designed to resist corrosion and maintain pressure through wide temperature swings. They’re specified to withstand tens of thousands of cycles without noticeable loss of lift capability.

• Grade 45 carbon steel body resists bending and wear
• Mirror chrome finish reduces rust and surface corrosion
• Hydraulic oil optimized for -40°F to 110°F operation
• Rated for 50,000+ compression cycles for long service life

How easy is installation for a DIYer?

Installation is straightforward and requires only a screwdriver and basic hand tools—no specialist equipment or dealer visit. The struts arrive as a ready-to-install pair with common interchanging part numbers (691003-24#, C1609903, C1625685), so you can match them to your LEER canopy before starting.

• Swap time: typically about 5 minutes per strut
• No specialty tools or professional technician required
• Mounting ends compatible with common LEER canopy fittings
• Clear fitment list to verify part numbers before purchase

What warranty or support does ARANA provide?

ARANA backs these gas struts with a 365-day customer support promise so you can request help or replacements within a year of purchase. The company offers responsiveness on defects or fit issues rather than lengthy service hoops.

• 365-day hassle-aware service from ARANA
• Customer support for fitment and installation questions
• Focused replacement assistance for manufacturing defects
