ASA Electronics Jensen 5.25" Waterproof Dual-Cone Speakers — Black, Shallow 1.5" Mount for RV & Marine

The Jensen MS5006BR are compact, fully waterproof 5.25" dual-cone speakers built to deliver clear audio outdoors and fit shallow RV or boat mounting spaces.

Designed for outdoor entertainment, the Jensen MS5006BR pair combines UV- and salt-spray-resistant construction with a shallow 1.5" mounting depth so you can install them where full-size speakers won't fit. Each speaker handles up to 30 watts peak, uses a mylar whizzer tweeter for extended highs, and meets ASTM B117 and D4329 standards for long-term exposure to marine and sun conditions. The black grille and low-profile round design let them blend into most dashboards, transoms, or patio surrounds while staying protected from weather and corrosion.

How do these speakers hold up to outdoor and marine exposure?

Jensen engineered the MS5006BR to resist the common environmental stresses of outdoor and marine use. They comply with ASTM B117 for salt spray and ASTM D4329 for UV exposure, which reduces corrosion and sun-driven material degradation. The sealed construction keeps moisture out, so rain, splashes, and humidity won’t easily damage the drivers or crossover components.

• Waterproof sealed design prevents water ingress and shorting
• ASTM B117 salt-spray compliance for corrosion resistance
• ASTM D4329 UV compliance to limit sun-driven fading and cracking
• Black UV-resistant grille maintains appearance in sunlight

Will they fit in tight RV, boat, or dashboard locations?

The MS5006BR’s shallow 1.5" mounting depth is specifically intended for constrained installations like RV cabinets, boat enclosures, or instrument panels. With a grille diameter under 6" and a 4-3/8" mounting hole requirement, they mount where larger components can’t. The compact magnet and lightweight frame also simplify mounting without heavy reinforcement.

• 1.5" total mounting depth fits slim panels and enclosures
• 4-3/8" mounting hole diameter for standard small-round cutouts
• 5.25" cone size with 5-15/16" grille diameter for compact coverage
• Lightweight magnet (2.9 oz) eases installation in thin surfaces

What sound performance can I expect from these 5.25" dual-cone speakers?

These speakers deliver balanced midrange and clearer highs for their size thanks to the dual-cone design and mylar whizzer tweeter. Nominal 4-ohm impedance and 86 dB sensitivity at 1W/1m mean they respond well to modest marine or RV amplifiers and factory head units. Frequency coverage spans roughly 79 Hz to 20 kHz, giving reasonable bass extension for small enclosures while emphasizing vocals and treble detail.

• Dual-cone design for reinforced midrange presence
• Mylar whizzer tweeter improves treble clarity and dispersion
• 86 dB sensitivity at 1W/1m for good output from budget stereos
• 4-ohm nominal impedance compatible with common systems

How do power and reliability specs affect everyday use?

The MS5006BR pair has a 30-watt max power handling rating, suitable for background music and moderate listening volumes typical in outdoor living spaces, RVs, or boats. They are sold as a matched pair to ensure consistent tonal balance across left and right channels. Robust materials and compliance with marine-focused standards help them keep performing season after season with minimal maintenance.

• 30W max handling per speaker for reliable, everyday use
• Sold as a matched pair for consistent stereo imaging
• Durable components minimize replacement and maintenance

Who is this for? The Jensen MS5006BR speakers are a practical choice for RV owners, small-boat installers, and anyone needing weatherproof sound in tight mounting locations. They suit buyers who want a durable, low-profile speaker pair that resists sun and salt while delivering clear vocals and highs from compact 5.25" drivers. Choose these if you need an affordable, installation-friendly solution for outdoor entertainment areas, dashboards, or cramped cabinetry.
