The Attwood 66419-3 is a black composite 90° P-trap marine fuel tank vent designed to keep seawater out while letting your fuel tank breathe through 5/8" I.D. vent hose.
Designed for small craft and recreational boats, this compact composite P-trap vent replaces damaged vents or upgrades existing tank venting systems. Built to resist splash and corrosion, it meets ABYC standards and eliminates the need for an anti-siphon loop in the vent hose under normal sea and washdown conditions. Quick to install, the unit connects to 5/8" I.D. hose and requires a hose clamp (sold separately) for a secure fit.
The 90° P-trap geometry and composite construction form a splash-resistant barrier that blocks surface water while still allowing air to pass. During typical wave action and deck wash, the shape reduces the chance of water following the vent line back into the tank. The composite material resists corrosion and marine degradation for longer functional life.
Yes—this vent is designed to permit unrestricted air flow so vapors and displaced air escape while fueling or as fuel level changes. The P-trap design balances splash resistance with venting efficiency so your tank can breathe without needing additional anti-siphon hardware in most normal operating conditions.
This vent is sized for 5/8" I.D. vent hose and is straightforward to install. Slide the hose over the barb, then secure with a marine-grade hose clamp. Position the vent outlet where it won’t collect standing water and follow ABYC routing recommendations for vent lines.
Made from composite materials, the 66419-3 is built to withstand marine environments without rusting or corroding like metal vents. Attwood products are engineered to meet regulatory and industry standards—this vent conforms to ABYC guidelines for fuel venting, offering a reliable option for both replacements and new installations.
Who is this for: Boaters, marine mechanics, and DIYers looking to replace a damaged fuel tank vent or upgrade venting on small to medium recreational vessels. Ideal for applications where a compact, splash-resistant 90° vent that fits 5/8" I.D. hose is needed and where meeting ABYC guidance is important. If you want a low-maintenance, corrosion-resistant vent that allows proper tank breathing without an anti-siphon loop in most normal sea conditions, the Attwood 66419-3 is a practical choice.
Q: What size hose fits this vent?
