The Autel AL329 is a plug-and-play OBD2 code reader that reads and clears engine codes, checks I/M readiness, retrieves VIN info, and displays live freeze-frame data for 1996-and-newer OBD-II vehicles.
The Autel AL329 offers fast, no-fuss diagnostics for domestic, Asian, and European vehicles that support OBD-II. Compact and durable, it combines one-button I/M readiness checks with full code read/erase functions, VIN retrieval, live data viewing and freeze-frame capabilities. Designed for drivers and DIY mechanics, the AL329 focuses on practical troubleshooting and pre-inspection verification without complicated menus.
The AL329 reads generic and manufacturer-specific diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), displays code definitions, and lets you erase stored codes once repairs are complete. It supports pending codes and can turn off the malfunction indicator light (MIL) after faults are resolved.
The patented One-Click I/M Readiness key instantly reports emission monitor status and readiness for state inspections using color-coded LEDs and audible tones. It summarizes whether key systems like misfire, fuel, catalyst and EVAP have completed their self-checks since the last code clear or during the current drive cycle.
The AL329 works with OBD-II compliant 16-pin vehicles — typically 1996 and newer in the U.S., and some 1994–1995 models marked "OBD II Certified." It supports CAN protocol vehicles and provides VIN/CALID/CVN retrieval plus live data graphing and playback.
The AL329 is built for straightforward plug-and-play operation with a compact, rugged housing and multilingual support. It runs self-diagnostics to check the LCD, LEDs and keyboard, and meets FCC, CE and RoHS standards for reliability and safety.
Who is this for: The Autel AL329 suits drivers, DIY mechanics and small-shop technicians who need a reliable, affordable OBD-II scanner to diagnose check-engine lights, confirm I/M readiness before inspections, and capture live sensor data without the complexity or cost of professional-level tools. If you want quick code retrieval, VIN readback on supported vehicles, and lifetime online updates to keep the unit current, the AL329 delivers practical diagnostics in a compact package.
