BDK Iridescent Matte Black Front Windscreen Sunshade 58 x 27 in — Dual-Layer Insulating, UV-Blocking Accordion Fold

BDK's Iridescent Matte Black 58 x 27 inch accordion sunshade is a foldable, dual-layer windshield protector that blocks UV rays and lowers interior temperatures for cars, trucks, SUVs and vans.

This accordion-style sunshade combines a tapered, universal fit with a reinforced, lightweight frame and a dual-layer bubble construction to protect your dashboard, seats and electronics from sun damage and heat. Designed to use the rear-view mirror for support, the reversible panel is quick to set up and collapses with a hook-and-loop closure for compact storage. The matte black iridescent finish both reduces glare and gives a low-profile look when installed.

How much cooler will my vehicle stay with the BDK sunshade?

While results vary by outside temperature and exposure, the dual-layer bubble design reflects and traps heat, significantly reducing cabin temperature rise during strong sun. This helps preserve interior surfaces and make vehicle entry more comfortable after parking in direct sunlight.

• Dual-layer bubble insulation reduces inside heat transfer.
• Reflective iridescent matte surface minimizes solar gain and glare.
• Reported interior drops commonly range widely depending on conditions; effective at lowering surface temperatures.

Will this shade fit my windshield and how is it installed?

The BDK sunshade measures 58 inches wide by 27 inches tall and is tapered for a snug fit in most personal vehicles, trucks, vans and SUVs. It installs easily by positioning under the rear-view mirror and can be adjusted or reversed for the best coverage.

• Universal fit for most front windshields with tapered edges for better sealing.
• Supported by the rear-view mirror—no tools required.
• Reversible design allows use on either side and maximizes lifespan.

What materials and protections does this windshield shade provide?

The shade uses a dual-layer bubble core combined with an iridescent matte exterior to deliver insulation and UV blocking. This construction reduces harmful UV exposure to vinyl, leather, plastics and electronics while also cutting down glare through a low-reflective finish.

• Dual-layer bubble core for thermal insulation and structure.
• 100% UV-blocking capability to protect interior materials and devices.
• Reinforced, lightweight frame for easy handling and repeated use.

How do I store and care for the BDK accordion sunshade?

Its accordion fold and hook-and-loop closure make the shade simple to collapse and store in a trunk, under a seat or in a door pocket. Wiping with a damp cloth removes dust; avoid harsh chemicals to preserve the iridescent finish.

• Folds compactly for easy storage and transport.
• Hook-and-loop keeps it secured when collapsed.
• Easy surface cleaning with a mild damp cloth; air dry completely before storing.

Who is this for: Drivers who park in direct sunlight frequently and want a durable, easy-to-use windshield protector that balances heat reduction, UV defense and a discreet appearance. Ideal for owners of cars, trucks, vans and SUVs seeking to extend their interior’s life, reduce cabin heat, and add a convenient, reversible sunshade that installs in seconds.
