Bed Buddi Telescoping Truck Bed Hook — 5ft Magnetic Mount, Steel Retrieval Tool

Bed Buddi is a magnetically mounted, telescoping truck-bed hook that extends to 5 feet for safely reaching and retrieving cargo without climbing into the bed.

If you own a pickup, bed cover, or shell, lost or hard-to-reach items in the truck bed are a frequent nuisance. The Bed Buddi integrates a strong magnetic base and a steel telescoping pole with a hooked end so you can pull straps, tools, groceries, and other gear toward the tailgate from outside the vehicle. It collapses to 20 inches for compact storage and mounts out of the way when not in use, making it a practical addition to virtually any truck setup.

How does Bed Buddi attach to my truck bed and stay ready?

Bed Buddi uses powerful built-in magnets that secure the tool to metal bed edges or bedliners with metallic backing. That magnetic mount keeps the pole accessible without permanent hardware or tools.

• Strong neodymium magnets hold the unit in place on metal surfaces.
• No drilling or brackets required for installation.
• Mounts on upper bed rails, bed caps, or metal sections of liners.
• Sits flush and out of the way when retracted.

How far does the pole extend and what can it lift?

The telescoping steel pole pulls out to a full 5 feet, giving reach well past the tailgate. It passed a stress test for heavy loads, delivering the strength needed to retrieve larger items safely.

• Collapsed length: 20 inches for storage flexibility.
• Extended length: up to 5 feet to reach deep into beds and under covers.
• Steel hook and pole construction for durability and leverage.
• Tested to withstand substantial pulling force (200+ lb stress test).

How does this tool improve safety and convenience?

By letting you reach items from ground level, Bed Buddi reduces the need to climb into the truck bed, lowering fall and strain risk. It also saves time when loading, unloading, or grabbing forgotten items while parked.

• Retrieve items without stepping into the bed or over a tailgate.
• Ideal for use with tonneau covers, camper shells, and bed caps.
• Helps prevent back strain and slipping on wet or icy surfaces.
• Reversible hook and magnet-friendly tip for picking up small metal parts.

Where does Bed Buddi live when I'm not using it and how do I use it?

The unit retracts to 20 inches and mounts magnetically to the truck for tidy storage. Extending and using the hook is quick: pull the segments out, lock at the needed length, then hook and draw cargo toward you.

• Compact retracted size fits inside doors, under seats, or magnetically on the bed rail.
• Simple telescoping action with secure segment lock at chosen length.
• Hook end shaped for pulling straps, handles, and irregular objects.
• Can reverse the pole to use the magnetized end for ferrous pickups.

Who this is for: Bed Buddi is built for pickup owners who want a straightforward way to retrieve cargo without climbing into the bed. It’s especially useful for drivers with bed covers, tonneau covers, shells, or raised tailgate scenarios, and for anyone who frequently loads and unloads tools, groceries, gear, or hardware. Fleet drivers, landscapers, contractors, weekend adventurers, and daily commuters will appreciate the time savings and reduced strain.
