Cali Raised LED Tailgate Theft Protector for Toyota Tacoma 2016–23 — Stainless Steel, Tamper-Resistant

If you use your Tacoma off-road, at work, or for weekend gear hauls, the tailgate is a frequent target for thieves who exploit the hinge area. The Cali Raised LED Tailgate Theft Protector provides a physical barrier at the vulnerable pickup tailgate hinge, combining corrosion-resistant materials and tamper-resistant fasteners for long-term security without permanent truck modification.

How does this protector stop tailgate theft on a Tacoma?

The protector covers and reinforces the hinge zone where thieves commonly pry or unbolt the tailgate. By adding a robust stainless-steel plate and special screws, it removes the quick-access points criminals rely on and increases the time and effort needed to remove the tailgate.

• Precision-fit stainless steel plate blocks hinge access points
• Tamper-resistant hardware requires the included custom bit to remove
• Heavy-gauge construction resists prying and blunt-force attempts

Will installation change my truck or require drilling?

No drilling or permanent modifications are required; the unit bolts into existing factory locations. The package includes all necessary hardware and a custom install bit so most owners can complete the job in minutes using basic hand tools.

• Designed specifically for 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma fitment
• Bolt-on installation uses factory holes—no cutting or drilling
• Typical install time: 5–10 minutes with included hardware

What materials and warranty back this protector?

The assembly is CNC laser-cut from corrosion-resistant stainless steel for rugged outdoor use and long-term durability. Cali Raised LED manufactures the product in the USA and supports it with a limited lifetime warranty, reflecting a build meant for trail salt, rain, and daily use.

• 316/304-grade stainless-steel options for corrosion resistance
• Precision CNC and laser-cut components for consistent fit
• Limited lifetime warranty from Cali Raised LED for manufacturing defects

Does the protector affect tailgate operation or accessories?

The protector is engineered to preserve normal tailgate function and compatibility with common Tacoma accessories. Because it mounts to factory points and stays clear of the latch mechanism, you can keep using most bed covers, steps, and lighting without interference.

• Designed to clear factory latch and hinge geometry
• Compatible with many third-party bed accessories and lights
• Low-profile finish maintains truck aesthetics while adding protection

Who this is for: This tailgate theft protector is ideal for Toyota Tacoma owners (2016–2023) who park in urban or trailhead environments, transport valuable cargo, or simply want a no-drill, durable defense against common tailgate theft methods. It particularly suits drivers who prefer USA-made hardware, quick installation, and long-lasting corrosion resistance without altering their truck.
