California Car Duster Car Duster — Red Wax‑Treated Cotton Mop, 25" Plastic Handle, 13" Head, Lightweight & Scratch‑Safe

The California Car Duster Plastic Handle model is a wax‑treated 100% cotton mop on a 25" plastic handle that lifts and removes light daily dust from cars without scratching.

Designed since 1989, this original car duster uses a special non‑toxic wax baked into cotton strands to capture dust instead of spreading it across painted surfaces. Its 13" mop head and 25" overall length make it long enough to reach most vehicle panels while still compact for routine touchups. The duster is lightweight thanks to the plastic handle, comes with a storage case, and is a favorite among detailers, collectors and everyday drivers who want a freshly washed look between washes.

How does the wax‑treated cotton remove dust safely?

The cotton fibers are infused with a gentle wax that causes dust particles to cling to the strands, so dust is lifted away rather than dragged across paint. Because the mop is soft and non‑abrasive, it minimizes the risk of micro‑scratches when used correctly with light pressure.

• 100% cotton mop bonded with a safe, non‑toxic wax formulation.
• Soft fibers designed to pick up and retain dust instead of spreading it.
• Use light swipes—no scrubbing—to avoid contact abrasion.
• Shake out between swipes and store in the included carry case to keep fibers clean.

Will it fit my car and reach tricky spots?

The duster’s 13" mop width and 25" total length suit most passenger cars, mid‑size SUVs and light‑duty trucks, enabling coverage of hoods, roofs and side panels without a ladder. Its compact head is also maneuverable for curved surfaces and tighter gaps.

• 13" mop head width covers broad panels quickly.
• 25" overall length reaches rooflines on most vehicles.
• Flexible mop conforms to contours for even dust pickup.
• Plastic handle keeps weight down for easy one‑handed use.

How do I maintain the duster so it lasts?

Keeping the mop free of buildup preserves its dust‑grabbing performance. Regularly shake or lightly tap the duster outdoors to dislodge trapped particles, and store it in the provided case to protect fibers from dirt and moisture.

• Shake outdoors after each use to remove loose debris.
• Do not machine‑wash—hand care preserves the wax coating.
• Store in the included carrying case to avoid contamination.
• If heavily soiled, consult manufacturer guidance for safe cleaning methods.

How does this duster save time and resources?

By removing light dust and restoring a freshly washed appearance, the duster lengthens intervals between full car washes. That saves water, time and money while keeping your vehicle looking cared for on a daily basis.

• Quick light swipes instead of full wash sessions.
• Reduces frequency of water‑intensive wash cycles.
• Lightweight and portable for roadside or garage touchups.
• Includes carrying case for convenient storage and transport.

Who is this for: The California Car Duster Plastic Handle model is ideal for car enthusiasts, detailers, show participants and everyday drivers who want a fast, paint‑safe way to remove daily dust and maintain a freshly cleaned look. It’s especially useful if you prefer a lightweight duster with a compact head for regular upkeep of sedans, SUVs and light trucks.
