Camco Brass Quick Hose Connect 20135 — Solid-Brass Automatic Shut-Off Coupling for Garden & RV

The Camco 20135 Brass Quick Hose Connect is a solid-brass, automatic shut-off hose coupling that lets you connect and disconnect garden hoses swiftly without water loss.

This quick-connect coupling is built from heavy-duty brass and certified for low lead content, designed to make swapping hoses, attachments and RV water lines faster and cleaner. It closes the flow automatically when disconnected, preventing spills and conserving water. The robust construction resists corrosion and stands up to repeated use in outdoor conditions while meeting 2010 standards and state low-lead regulations.

How does the automatic shut-off work and why does it matter?

When you release the plug from the female quick-connect, an internal mechanism seals the line immediately to stop water flow. This prevents accidental drainage, protects surfaces from dripping, and reduces wasted water during tool or accessory changes. It’s especially helpful when working on slopes or connecting items above ground level.

• Instant valve closure on disconnection to prevent spills
• Reduces water waste during accessory swaps
• Convenient for overhead or hard-to-reach hookups

Is the 20135 durable enough for outdoor and RV use?

Yes — the coupling is machined from solid brass for strength and corrosion resistance, so it tolerates weather, repeated connections and seasonal storage. Brass also maintains a reliable seal over many cycles compared with cheaper plated or plastic fittings. The low-lead certification ensures compliance for potable water lines in RVs and outdoor spigots where regulations apply.

• Solid brass construction resists rust and wear
• Designed for frequent use and outdoor exposure
• Certified low-lead to meet state and federal requirements

What sizes, installations, and compatibility should I expect?

The Camco 20135 is made to mate with standard quick-connect hose fittings used on garden hoses and many RV water systems. It works as either a female or male component depending on the pairing, and installs by pushing the connection into place until it locks. If you pair it with the matching Camco quick-connect series, you’ll get the intended automatic shut-off behavior.

• Compatible with common garden hose quick-connect fittings
• Push-to-connect installation with secure locking collar
• Use with matching Camco quick-connect accessories for best results

How do I maintain the coupling for long life?

Maintenance is simple: rinse debris away after heavy use, inspect the internal seal periodically, and avoid harsh chemical exposure that can degrade components. Store indoors during freezing weather to prevent damage from trapped water. Lubricate the O-ring occasionally with a silicone-safe lubricant to preserve smooth operation.

• Rinse and wipe clean after muddy or sandy use
• Check and replace O-rings if leaking appears
• Store in a dry place during winter or extended downtime

Who this is for: The Camco 20135 Brass Quick Hose Connect is ideal for homeowners, gardeners, landscapers and RV owners who swap hoses and accessories frequently and want a reliable, spill-free connection. It’s a practical choice when durability and compliance matter — especially for potable water use where low-lead certification is required.
