Chemical Guys Megalodon Twisted Loop Microfibre Drying Towel 24x36 in — Extra-Large, Ultra-Plush High-Absorbency

Chemical Guys Megalodon Twisted Loop Microfiber Drying Towel is an extra-large, ultra-plush 24" x 36" drying towel engineered with twisted loop fibers to absorb water quickly while protecting paint finishes.

When you finish washing your vehicle, the drying step matters as much as the wash. The Megalodon Twisted Loop towel from Chemical Guys is built to pull more water off surfaces in fewer passes while minimizing streaks, swirls, and surface contact that can cause micro-scratches. Its oversized profile and specially structured fibers make it a practical choice for enthusiasts and professional detailers who want fast, safe drying on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and RVs.

How does the twisted loop fiber help speed up drying?

The twisted loop construction increases surface area and creates channels that trap and hold water instead of pushing it around. This lets the towel absorb more moisture per swipe, reducing the number of passes you need to dry a panel completely.

• Twisted loops create extra capillary action to pull up water quickly.
• Higher absorbency means fewer towel swaps and faster drying sessions.
• Large 24" x 36" size covers more area with each pass.

Will this towel be safe on painted surfaces and glass?

Yes — the Megalodon towel is made from super-plush, soft microfiber that glides across paint and glass to reduce drag and abrasion. The thick pile cushions contact and helps prevent swirl marks when used properly with light pressure and a clean towel surface.

• Ultra-soft microfiber pile protects clear coat and delicate finishes.
• Plush thickness separates dirt particles from the surface to avoid scratching.
• Works equally well on paint, chrome, glass, and plastic trims.

How easy is it to maintain and reuse this towel?

The towel is designed for repeated use and straightforward care: machine wash with mild detergent, avoid fabric softeners, and air dry or tumble on low to preserve the fibers. Proper laundering restores absorbency and keeps the towel performing like new for many detailing jobs.

• Machine washable; avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
• Low-heat tumble dry or line dry to protect fiber integrity.
• Wash separately or with similar microfiber to prevent lint transfer.

How does the size affect real-world detailing workflow?

The extra-large 24" x 36" footprint means fewer passes per panel and less bending or repositioning while drying larger vehicles. For RVs, trucks, or wide sedans it significantly cuts drying time compared with standard towels.

• Covers more surface per swipe — ideal for large panels and roofs.
• Reduces the number of towels needed for a full vehicle dry.
• Better ergonomics: fewer repetitive motions and faster completion.

Who this is for: Detailers, car care enthusiasts, and vehicle owners who want a high-capacity, gentle drying solution that reduces time at the end of a wash. If you wash large vehicles often or seek a towel that minimizes streaking and surface contact, the Chemical Guys Megalodon Twisted Loop microfiber drying towel delivers an efficient, safe drying step for every detailing routine.
