CleanTools Absorber XL 18" x 29" Synthetic Drying Chamois (Aqua) — Super Absorbent, Scratch-Free, Washable

The CleanTools Absorber XL is a washable, synthetic drying chamois that soaks up more water than typical towels to speed car, truck, and boat drying without scratching paint.

If you routinely dry large vehicles or need a single, high-performance cloth for multiple tasks, the Absorber XL was designed to cut drying time and replace piles of terry towels. Slightly larger than the original Absorber, this aqua-colored XL model combines a textured surface with high absorption capacity, making it ideal for trucks, SUVs, boats or household jobs where fast, streak-free drying matters. It’s machine washable and ships with a storage tube for neat keeping between uses.

How does the Absorber XL dry faster than regular towels?

The Absorber XL’s synthetic fiber construction and unique surface texture hold significantly more water per square inch than standard terry cloth. That means fewer passes across the surface and less time wringing or swapping towels. The result is faster drying with reduced effort and lower risk of leaving lint or streaks behind.

• Advanced synthetic fibers trap and retain more liquid than cotton towels
• Textured finish spreads moisture across the cloth for quicker evaporation
• Larger sheet area reduces the number of times you need to cover the vehicle

Will the CleanTools Absorber XL scratch delicate paint or surfaces?

Designed to be soft and non-abrasive, the Absorber XL protects paint, chrome and glass when used properly. Its smooth-but-textured face lifts water without harsh rubbing, and the synthetic material resists shedding, so it won’t leave lint on surfaces. Always start with a clean, debris-free cloth to avoid trapping grit that can cause scratches.

• Soft synthetic fibers minimize surface abrasion
• Low-lint construction keeps finishes clean and glossy
• Rinse or wash cloth if contaminated before next use

How should I care for and store my Absorber XL to keep peak performance?

Maintenance is simple: rinse after use, machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, and air dry or tumble on low. The product ships with a compact storage tube that keeps the cloth clean and ready for travel. Proper care retains absorbency and extends the cloth’s useful life for years.

• Rinse thoroughly after each use to remove trapped dirt
• Machine wash with mild detergent; avoid fabric softeners
• Air dry or tumble low; store in the included tube to protect between uses

How much surface area does the XL cover and what jobs is it best for?

The Absorber XL measures approximately 18" x 29", offering slightly more coverage than the standard model while emphasizing absorption rather than sheer size. It’s best suited for large vehicles, boats, RVs, and any task where you want to replace multiple towels with a single, super-absorbent chamois. It also works well for interior spills and household cleaning jobs where a lint-free result is preferred.

• Dimensions suit trucks, SUVs, boats and larger vehicles
• One cloth can often replace several terry towels
• Useful for both exterior drying and indoor spills or polishing

Who is this for: The CleanTools Absorber XL is aimed at car and boat owners, detailers, and anyone who wants a faster, safer way to dry large surfaces without lint or streaks. If you’re tired of switching towels mid-job, managing a stack of drying cloths, or worried about surface damage from abrasive materials, this washable, high-capacity drying chamois offers a convenient, long-lasting solution.
