Coghlan's Mini Pop-Up Trash Can – 14‑Gallon Collapsible Camping Bin with Zippered Lid and Handles

Keep campsite, picnic, or RV areas tidy without lugging rigid containers. This compact version of Coghlan's popular pop-up bin gives you a durable, packable solution for short trips and small groups. Built from tough polyethylene fabric with integrated handles and a secure zipper, it holds a standard medium-sized garbage bag while keeping insects and odors contained.

How quickly does the trash can deploy and fold away?

Deployment is near-instant thanks to a spring-loaded pop-up frame: unzip the storage lid and the bin expands to full size. When you're finished, nylon ties hold the unit collapsed so it remains flat and compact for stowing.

• Sets up in seconds with a spring-action frame
• Unzips from a flat storage lid to full 14-gallon capacity
• Secures closed with an outer zipper to lock in waste
• Nylon ties keep the unit folded and slim for packing

Will it stand up to outdoor use and repeated trips?

Yes — the exterior is heavy-duty polyethylene fabric designed for outdoor wear and tear, so it resists punctures and holds shape under normal campsite conditions. Reinforced stitching and sturdy handles make moving and emptying the bag easy even when full.

• Heavy-duty polyethylene withstands rough outdoor use
• Stitched seams and reinforced carry handles for durability
• Stable circular frame prevents collapse during use
• Designed for repeated setup and packing without losing form

Can this fit common garbage bags and keep pests away?

The 14-gallon (53 L) interior accommodates medium-sized garbage bags, so you can use disposable liners for quick cleanups. The zippered lid closes over the top to help contain smells and deter flies, wasps, and other curious insects while your camp is unattended.

• 14 Gal (53 L) interior fits standard medium trash bags
• Zippered lid helps contain odors and block pests
• Top closure reduces the need for frequent bag changes
• Interior space designed to reduce bulging and tipping

How portable is it for hiking, RV trips, and backyard use?

This mini model prioritizes portability: it folds flat to slip into packs, stow in RV compartments, or reside in a car trunk for impromptu outdoor gatherings. The lightweight construction offers minimal carry weight without sacrificing usable capacity.

• Collapses flat to save space in backpacks or gear lockers
• Lightweight for easy carrying on short hikes and day trips
• Integrated handles allow quick relocation or emptying
• Compact footprint when deployed works well in small campsites

Who is this for? This Mini Pop-Up Trash Can is suited to weekend campers, tailgaters, couples or small-family outings, RV travelers, and anyone who needs a reliable, space-saving waste solution for outdoor living. If you want a durable, easy-to-store bin that tucks away when not needed and keeps insects and smells under control, Coghlan's 14-gallon collapsible trash can is designed for that purpose.
