DEGEOBERLIN Titanium Pipe Heat Shield is a 4" x 8" flexible exhaust guard made from titanium-faced basalt layers that protects parts and clothing from extreme exhaust heat and includes two stainless steel clamps for secure fitting.
This compact, re-positionable heat shield wraps around pipes, mufflers or stacks to reduce radiant heat and shield nearby components. Built from two basalt-based layers with a titanium outer face and a high-temperature inner fabric, it withstands very high temperatures and resists corrosion. The kit ships with two stainless-steel clamps sized for roughly 3.5" diameter openings so you can clamp the shield tightly without special parts.
The DEGEOBERLIN shield is engineered for continuous exposure up to about 1800°F and intermittent spikes up to around 2500°F, depending on installation and airflow. It reduces radiant heat transfer to nearby boots, lines, electrical wiring and painted surfaces, helping prevent heat-related damage and discomfort.
This 4" x 8" shield is sized to wrap smaller sections of pipe, mid-points, or components; DEGEOBERLIN also offers larger lengths if you need more coverage. Installation is straightforward: wrap the shield around the pipe, position as required, and tighten the stainless clamps with a spanner; the shield is designed for quick repositioning and adjustment.
Much more than a motorcycle accessory, the shield works on mufflers, catalytic converters, engine compartments, fuel tanks, intake systems and other heat-sensitive areas on cars, trucks, motorcycles and off-road machines. Its flexible construction conforms to curved surfaces and can be used around stacks, chassis points and underbody areas to protect wiring, hoses and painted panels.
The outer titanium face and basalt inner layers provide abrasion resistance and long-term thermal performance; stainless clamps resist rust for on-road and off-road use. Routine inspections for clamp tightness and any chafing are recommended; replace clamps if they show corrosion or wear and replace the shield if the fabric layer becomes compromised.
Who is this for? This DEGEOBERLIN 4" x 8" titanium pipe heat shield is designed for motorcycle owners, performance car enthusiasts, mechanics and landscapers who need compact, high-temperature protection for targeted areas. Choose this kit if you require a durable, re-positionable barrier to reduce radiant heat on hoses, wiring, bodywork or footwear where space is limited. If you need longer coverage, consider DEGEOBERLIN's larger sizes to match your pipes and installation needs.
Q: Does this shield fit a 2" pipe?
A: Yes — the 4" width wraps small pipes; use clamps to tighten. Measure pipe circumference to ensure proper overlap.
Q: Are the included clamps stainless steel?
A: Yes, the kit includes two stainless-steel clamps designed to resist corrosion and hold the shield securely.
