Donkey Auto Products Magnetic Number Plate Holder — Rubber-Coated 2-Pack, 8in Protective Demo Tag Mount

Donkey Auto Products Premium Rubber Coated License Plate Magnets are durable, protective demo holders designed to secure temporary dealer and test-drive tags to magnetic vehicle surfaces for short-term use.

These two rubber-coated magnetic license plate holders combine a protective outer layer with strong magnetic attraction to temporarily hold dealer demo tags, test-drive plates, and short-term signage. Built with vehicle protection in mind, the rubber extrusion prevents scratches and scuffs while a textured surface improves grip. They’re packaged and assembled in the USA and come as a 2-pack with mounting hardware for quick setup.

How strong are these magnets and where will they attach?

The built-in magnets provide substantial holding force on metal panels that attract magnets, such as steel. They are optimized for rear placement and short-term applications—wind-exposed long-term mounting is not recommended. Always confirm the vehicle surface is ferrous before use.

• Works only on magnetically attracted metals (e.g., steel).
• Not compatible with aluminum, plastic, glass, rubber, or painted composite bumpers that aren’t ferrous.
• Ideal for rear panels sheltered from direct airflow during short drives.
• High-friction exterior reduces slipping on smooth metal surfaces.

What vehicle protection features prevent damage or scratches?

Each magnet has an extruded rubber coating that cushions the contact area and minimizes abrasion to paint and finish. The soft rubber layer eliminates direct metal-to-metal contact, and the profile distributes pressure to avoid point loads that can mar surfaces. Proper cleaning of the mounting area further reduces risk.

• Extruded rubber coating protects paint and finish.
• Smooth edges and uniform thickness reduce scratch risk.
• Designed to distribute pressure across the plate area.
• Recommended: clean metal surface before placement.

What are the product dimensions and what's included in the bundle?

Each magnet measures 8 x 1.5 x 0.25 inches with 6.75 inches between mounting holes, matching many dealer plate layouts. The two-pack includes high-quality hardware for quick installation and a clear parts layout so you can attach standard demo plates or temporary tags. This bundle gives dealerships and rental agencies a cost-effective pair for everyday use.

• Dimensions: 8 x 1.5 x 0.25 inches; hole spacing: 6.75 inches.
• Includes screws and washers for secure plate attachment.
• Sold as a two-pack for convenience and savings.
• Made and packaged in the USA for consistency and quality control.

How should I use these magnets safely and for how long?

These holders are intended for short-term, temporary display—transport runs, test drives, demos, and short rentals. Mount on a clean, ferrous rear surface and avoid leaving plates affixed during high-speed, prolonged highway driving or long-term vehicle storage. Regularly check adhesion and re-secure hardware as needed.

• Designed for short-term use (test drives, demos, rentals).
• Mount only on clean steel or other magnet-attracting surfaces.
• Not suitable for permanent license plate replacement on non-ferrous bumpers.
• Inspect magnet grip before each drive; remove after short use.

Who is this for: Donkey Auto Products Premium Rubber Coated License Plate Magnets are aimed at car dealerships, rental agencies, fleet managers, service centers, and private sellers who need a reliable, paint-safe way to mount demo or temporary tags. If you work with vehicles that have steel rear panels and require short-term plate display without risking finish damage, this 2-pack offers practical, USA-made hardware and protective coverage. If your vehicle has an aluminum or plastic bumper, consider alternate mounting solutions that suit non-magnetic surfaces.
