DPTOOL's 19-piece Turbo System Leakage Tester Kit is a workshop-grade set that pressurizes turbo hoses, intercoolers and cooling pipes to quickly locate leaks and verify system integrity.
If your turbocharged engine suffers loss of boost or reduced performance, undetected leaks in hoses, clamps, intercoolers or radiators are often the cause. The DPTOOL Turbo System Leakage Tester Kit bundles a 0–6 bar gauge with a regulator, a shut-off valve, a smoke adapter and 16 stepped adapters to fit common hose diameters so you can pressure-test most passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and many marine or heavier applications using standard workshop compressed air.
The kit lets you seal off intake or charge hoses, pressurize the turbo plumbing with controlled workshop air, then watch the gauge and listen or use the smoke adapter to spot escaping air. If pressure drops or smoke appears at a joint, clamp or cracked pipe, you have a leak location to repair.
The stepped adapter set spans a broad set of internal hose diameters to match intercooler and turbo charge piping found on most cars and light commercial vehicles. Adapters are sized to grip different hose thicknesses and provide a tight seal when used with the supplied stoppers.
Start with the regulator set low, fit the correct stepped adapter and stopper, then slowly pressurize while monitoring the gauge. Use the manual red valve to cut air supply and the excess pressure release to lower pressure if needed; never exceed recommended hose pressures for the vehicle being tested.
The kit contains adapters, a pressure gauge with regulator and shut-off, and a smoke adapter so you can both hear and see leaks. After a successful test you will know whether the turbo charge air path holds pressure or requires repair, helping you target replacements of hoses, clamps, intercoolers or pipework without guesswork.
Who is this for? DIY mechanics, professional technicians and fleet engineers who service turbocharged engines will find the DPTOOL Turbo System Leakage Tester Kit practical and time-saving. It’s built for workshop use with standard compressed air and is ideal if you perform regular turbo or cooling-system inspections, troubleshoot boost loss, or need a reliable way to verify repairs before returning vehicles to service. Check adapter compatibility with your vehicle’s hose sizes prior to purchase to ensure the best fit.
Q: Can I use this kit with a standard workshop air compressor?
A: Yes. The DPTOOL kit is designed for use with standard workshop compressed air; always preset the regulator to low before connecting.
Q: What pressure range does the gauge cover?
A: The included pressure gauge reads 0–6 bar (0–87 psi), suitable for controlled turbo system testing.
