This compact 12V pump is built as a drop-in solution for carbureted engines and low-pressure transfer needs. Designed to replace OE E8012S and to suit a wide range of vehicles and equipment, it pairs straightforward plumbing with steady flow to reduce vapor lock and maintain consistent fuel delivery. The unit's replaceable barb fittings and rugged construction make it practical for DIY mechanics and professional installers alike.
The DTMAP pump is an inline, low-pressure electric fuel pump intended for carbureted systems or as an external transfer pump. It installs between the fuel tank and carburetor or can be used as an auxiliary booster. Use appropriate fuel-rated hose and clamps for a secure connection.
Expect a steady low-pressure output useful for carburetors and fuel transfer duties rather than high-pressure EFI systems. The rated flow of 30 GPH (113 LPH) supplies enough fuel for most small to mid-size engines running carburetors and helps prevent vapor lock under typical conditions.
Installation is straightforward with basic tools: mount the unit securely, run fuel-rated hose to the inlet and outlet, and wire it to the 12V supply with an inline fuse. Routine checks of hose clamps and electrical connections will keep the pump reliable and reduce the risk of leaks or failure.
Who is this for? The DTMAP 12V Universal Electric Fuel Pump suits DIY mechanics, restoration projects, and owners of carbureted cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, and small boats that require a reliable low-pressure inline pump. It is also useful as an external fuel-transfer pump for diesel and gasoline where high-pressure EFI capability isn't needed. Choose this pump if you need a compact, replaceable-barb inline unit that meets IATF 16949 quality standards and includes a one-year or 30,000-kilometer warranty for peace of mind.
Q: Can this pump be used with EFI systems?
A: No. This pump is low-pressure (5–9 PSI) and unsuitable for high-pressure EFI injection systems.
Q: What hoses fit the inlet and outlet?
A: Use 5/16" fuel-rated hose for the inlet/outlet; the barb head section accepts a tight 3/8" seal for reliable clamping.
