The Dyness12V 20A Lithium Battery Charger is a fast, three-stage AC‑DC charger built to charge, reactivate and protect 12V LiFePO4 batteries — including units with 0V/BMS protection.
If you need a reliable desktop/worksite charger for 12V LiFePO4 battery banks, this Dyness unit delivers quicker top‑up cycles, built‑in safety, and a robust case designed for long service life. It combines a 20A output for rapid replenishment with a precharge step that can bring BMS‑protected or deeply discharged cells back to a usable voltage. Clear LED indicators and upgraded connection options (M8 terminal plus a 50A Anderson plug) make it practical for home, RV, marine, and workshop use.
The charger includes a dedicated activation stage that supplies a low, controlled current to raise a deeply discharged battery above its protection threshold. Once the battery reaches a safe voltage, the charger moves into fast charging and then a constant voltage maintenance stage to finish and preserve charge.
With a 20A maximum output, this charger can replenish a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery in roughly five hours under typical conditions, roughly twice as fast as many 10A units. Charging follows a three‑stage algorithm — precharge, fast charge, and constant voltage — to balance speed with cell longevity.
The Dyness charger integrates multiple protections to avoid common faults: over‑temperature shutdown, short‑circuit and reverse‑polarity safeguards, and over‑voltage limits. An aluminum alloy enclosure and internal cooling fan help dissipate heat during heavy use, extending component life and maintaining consistent performance.
Simple status lights convey charge progress and fault conditions at a glance: steady red while charging, steady green when fully charged or no load, and blinking red if the unit enters protection mode. The upgraded connector options let you attach the charger to varied battery setups quickly and safely.
Who is this for? The Dyness12V 20A charger is aimed at homeowners, RV and marine owners, installers, and hobbyists who use 12V LiFePO4 battery systems and need faster recharges, safe recovery of BMS‑protected batteries, and rugged hardware for repeated use. It’s especially useful when quicker turnaround times matter and when reliable protection and clear status information are required during charging sessions.
Q: Can this charger wake a LiFePO4 battery at 0V?
A: Yes. It has a precharge activation stage that can bring BMS‑protected or deeply discharged 12V LiFePO4 batteries back to a safe voltage.
Q: How long to charge a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery?
A: At the full 20A rate, expect about five hours under typical conditions, as the unit shifts through precharge, fast charge, and constant voltage.
