ECOGARD Premium Engine Air Filter XA6131 — Fits 2010–2017 Chevrolet Equinox & GMC Terrain 2.4L/3.6L, High-Capacity Media

Regularly replacing the engine air filter is one of the simplest maintenance steps that helps protect the intake system and supports consistent engine performance. The ECOGARD XA6131 is sized and constructed to fit specific 2010–2017 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain engines, offering high-capacity particle capture with a focus on durable media and predictable airflow between service intervals.

How does the XA6131 protect my engine?

The XA6131 uses a multi-layer filter media designed to intercept common contaminants—dust, pollen, and road debris—before they reach sensitive engine components. Cleaner intake air reduces abrasive wear and helps maintain combustion consistency over time.

• High-capacity filter media captures fine and coarse particles.
• Sealed frame prevents unfiltered bypass into the intake.
• Durable construction resists collapse under engine vacuum.

Will this filter affect fuel economy or throttle response?

When installed correctly, the XA6131 maintains engineered airflow characteristics that support steady throttle response and efficient combustion. While no filter dramatically improves mileage, a clean, proper-fit air filter prevents performance losses caused by restriction or contaminant buildup.

• Engineered to manage airflow similar to OE specifications.
• Helps preserve throttle responsiveness between services.
• Reduces risk of fuel-efficiency decline from clogged filters.

How often should I replace this air filter and how easy is installation?

ECOGARD recommends replacement every 12,000 miles or following your vehicle manufacturer’s schedule—more frequently in dusty or severe driving conditions. Installation is straightforward for most owners: the filter sits in the engine airbox and typically requires only basic tools or none at all.

• Recommended service interval: 12,000 miles (or vehicle OEM schedule).
• Simple drop-in replacement in the airbox—few or no tools needed.
• Inspect during oil changes or when driving in dusty environments.

Which vehicles and part numbers does XA6131 replace?

The XA6131 is compatible with multiple Equinox and Terrain configurations and cross-references several common OEM and aftermarket part numbers. Always verify fitment with your vehicle year, engine size, and VIN where possible before purchase.

• Fits Chevrolet Equinox 2.4L (2010–2017), 3.0L (2010–2012), 3.6L (2013–2017).
• Fits GMC Terrain 2.4L (2010–2017), 3.0L (2010–2012), 3.6L (2013–2017).
• Cross-references ACDelco, Baldwin, Fram, Champ, FVP, ECOGARD part numbers.
