ERETOW Davco Fuel Filter Collar & Vent Cap Wrench Set 6" & 8" — Galvanized Iron, Rubber Handles

Two heavy-duty fuel filter collar and vent cap wrenches (6" and 8") designed to remove Davco fuel/water separator collars and vent caps on diesel truck engines. Replacing or servicing fuel filter collars and vent caps on heavy-duty diesel engines is easier with the right tool. This ERETOW two-piece set includes a 6-inch and an 8-inch collar/vent cap wrench sized to fit common Davco part numbers and to work with Detroit Diesel DD13, DD15, DD16, Cummins, and Navistar applications. Built from galvanized iron with rubber-coated handles, these wrenches are made to resist corrosion and provide a secure grip while you work in shop or roadside situations.

Which Davco fuel/water separators does this set fit?

The ERETOW wrenches are sized specifically for common Davco separators and replacement part ranges. The 6-inch tool covers smaller collar and vent cap sizes, while the 8-inch tool handles the larger Pro and Shop Pro series collars used on many heavy-duty trucks.

• 6" fits Davco models such as 380134 and 382 series collars.
• 8" fits Davco Fuel Pro 482, 483, 485, 487, 488, 782 and Shop Pro FXP collars.
• Works with Davco replacement part number 482017 and similar sizes.

Will these wrenches work on my Detroit Diesel or Navistar truck?

Yes—these tools were selected to match the collar sizes commonly used by heavy-duty engine manufacturers. They are compatible with many Detroit Diesel DD13, DD15, DD16 installations and are suitable for numerous Navistar and Cummins filter housings where Davco-style separators are fitted.

• Fits Detroit Diesel DD13, DD15 and DD16 fuel filter collars.
• Compatible with many Navistar and Cummins-equipped trucks using Davco separators.
• Useful for fleet maintenance and individual heavy-truck service tasks.

How durable and easy to use are these removal tools?

Manufactured from galvanized iron, the wrenches resist rust and maintain strength under repeated torque. Each tool has a rubber-coated handle to improve grip and lessen hand fatigue during repetitive filter changes. Using them is straightforward: clamp the wrench around the collar or vent cap, engage the jaws, then turn in the required direction to loosen.

• Galvanized iron construction for corrosion resistance and longevity.
• Rubber-coated handles for non-slip comfort and control.
• Simple clamp-and-turn operation—avoid letting metal teeth dig into housings.

What should I watch for when using these wrenches?

While the set is robust, correct technique preserves both the tool and the filter housing. Make sure the wrench jaws are fully seated and apply steady, controlled force rather than sudden impacts. Be mindful of metal teeth contact; position the tool so it grips securely without gouging the housing surface.

• Ensure jaws are fully engaged before applying torque.
• Use controlled turning force—avoid hammering the tool.
• Position jaws to minimize metal-to-housing damage during removal.

This two-piece ERETOW wrench set is aimed at diesel mechanics, fleet service techs, and truck owners who perform routine fuel filter maintenance. If you work on medium- and heavy-duty trucks that use Davco fuel/water separators—or you maintain a fleet of Detroit Diesel, Cummins, or Navistar engines—this set provides the correct sizes and reliable construction to speed collar and vent cap changes and reduce downtime.
