Ethos Handcrafted Car Care Ceramic Car Shampoo — SiO2 pH-Balanced Slick Wash, Hydrophobic Protection

Ethos Ceramic Car Shampoo is a high-foaming, pH-balanced car wash soap formulated with SiO₂ to gently clean while adding hydrophobic protection and glossy slickness for both coated and uncoated vehicles.

Keeping a vehicle clean should protect the finish while improving its appearance — not strip protection away. Ethos Handcrafted Car Care designed this shampoo specifically to pair safely with ceramic coatings, waxes, and sealants. The result is a user-friendly wash that lifts dirt, increases water beading and sheeting, and leaves a deep, slick gloss so drying and water spot formation are reduced.

How does this shampoo protect ceramic coatings and existing sealants?

The formula includes SiO₂ ceramic technology and is pH-balanced to be compatible with ceramic coatings, paint sealants, and wax layers. It boosts hydrophobic properties without breaking down protective films, helping maintain the layer that repels water and contaminants.

• SiO₂ infusion adds temporary hydrophobic benefits during and after the wash
• pH-balanced to avoid stripping coating polymers or wax
• High lubricity reduces wash-induced marring on delicate finishes
• Safe for repeated use on both coated and uncoated paintwork

What makes this shampoo slick and safe for paint during washing?

Ethos formulated the shampoo with high-lubricity surfactants that create a thick, lubricating foam. That slickness allows dirt to glide off surfaces rather than being scrubbed across the paint, minimizing swirl marks and micro-scratches when using two-bucket or wash-mitt methods.

• Ultra-slick, foaming action for easier dirt encapsulation and removal
• Lubricants separate grit from paint to prevent abrasion
• Rinses clean without sticky residue, reducing drying time
• Works well with mitts, brushes, and pressure rinsing workflows

How does this shampoo improve drying and water beading?

The SiO₂ content and hydrophobic components of the shampoo encourage water to bead and sheet off the surface faster. Improved beading means less residual water to evaporate and form spots, and quicker sheeting reduces the time and effort required to dry the vehicle safely.

• Enhances bead-and-sheet action for faster, cleaner drying
• Helps prevent water spots by promoting runoff
• Compatible with drying aids and microfiber towels for the best results
• Ideal for climates where mineral spotting on wet surfaces is common

What should I expect from cleaning performance and finish?

Expect high-foaming cleaning power that lifts road grime, light contaminants, and everyday soils without aggressive detergents. After rinsing, surfaces present a deep gloss and noticeably slick feel that enhances the visual depth of paint and makes subsequent maintenance washes easier.

• Proven superior cleaning with rich foam to suspend dirt
• Leaves a glossy, hydrophobic finish that enhances clarity
• Rinses away cleanly, reducing streaks and residue
• Suitable for weekly maintenance or detail-level hand washes
