This inline filter combines a rugged aluminum housing with a reusable stainless-steel element to trap debris and protect pumps, injectors, and carburetors in gasoline and diesel systems (not for E85). The can measures roughly 50mm and ships with three AN fittings so it fits a wide range of hoses and aftermarket plumbing. It uses an O-ring seal and a spring-guided element to ensure a tight connection and correct flow direction for consistent filtration performance.
The unit includes 6AN, 8AN and 10AN adapters so you can match popular aftermarket hose sizes without custom fittings. Installation is straightforward: choose the adapter that matches your hose, snug the O-ringed connection, and align the flow arrow. The removable design makes it possible to swap adapters or service the element without replacing the whole assembly.
This filter is rated to capture particles of 10 microns and larger, protecting sensitive fuel-system components from grit and rust. The stainless-steel mesh element resists collapse and can be cleaned repeatedly in most maintenance routines. Avoid use with E85, which can affect some elastomers and seals.
Before finalizing installation, confirm the arrow on the housing matches fuel flow from inlet (spring end) to outlet. The spring must seat against the closed end of the element to maintain proper alignment. Periodically remove the can, inspect and clean or replace the stainless-steel element to avoid flow restriction and maintain filtration efficiency.
The housing is made from aluminum alloy and the filter media from stainless steel, providing good corrosion resistance and structural strength in typical gasoline and diesel use. O-rings provide a positive seal at connections, but periodic inspection of elastomers is recommended, especially if exposed to additives or aggressive fuels. Built for aftermarket engines, race cars, marine applications, and street vehicles that use standard fuels.
Who is this for: The EVIL ENERGY 10-micron inline filter is intended for vehicle owners, tuners, and fabricators who need a compact, serviceable filter to protect fuel pumps and injectors in petrol or diesel applications. It's a good choice for performance builds, custom plumbing with AN fittings, and anyone who prefers a cleanable stainless element over disposable paper cartridges. If you run E85 or require sub-micron filtration, select a product specifically rated for those fuels or finer micron levels.
Q: Can this filter be used with E85 fuel?
A: No. This filter is not recommended for E85 because alcohol can degrade seals and affect performance.
Q: How often should I clean or replace the element?
A: Inspect at regular service intervals; clean or replace sooner if you notice flow restriction or visible contamination.
