EZRED Extendable Aluminium Hood & Tailgate Prop — Red, 31"–60" Range, 100 lb Capacity

EZ RED EZHP is a red, extendable aluminum hood and tailgate prop that secures vehicle panels from 31" to 60" across six height settings for safe, hands-free access.

This adjustable prop was built to simplify under-hood work and tailgate tasks by combining lightweight aluminum construction with a compact, user-friendly design. It resists oils and other automotive fluids, includes a rubberized tip for slip resistance, and folds down for easy storage in a toolbox or trunk. Whether you’re inspecting, repairing, or changing fluids, the EZHP gives steady support while you work.

How does the extendable mechanism adapt to different vehicles?

The EZHP slides smoothly between 31" and 60", locking into six distinct positions spaced approximately 3.25" apart. A simple push-and-lock design lets you set the exact height you need without tools.

• Range: 31" to 60" to fit compact cars through full-size trucks
• Six lockable increments for precise height selection
• Quick-release action for fast adjustment and removal

Will it hold up during repairs and inspections?

Engineered from durable, corrosion-resistant aluminum, the prop supports up to 100 pounds for steady, long-term use. The rubber tip increases contact grip while the solid locking points prevent sagging under load.

• Rated capacity: supports hoods and tailgates up to 100 lb
• Aluminum body resists oil, grease, and common shop fluids
• Non-slip rubber tip protects paint and enhances stability

How easy is it to carry and store in a workshop or vehicle?

Weighing far less than steel alternatives, this hood prop is easy to transport and stow. A molded grip handle makes handling comfortable, and the compact collapsed length fits most storage areas.

• Lightweight aluminum construction for easier handling
• Grip handle for comfortable carrying and placement
• Collapses to a short profile for trunk or workbench storage

Does it work for both hoods and tailgates?

Yes — the EZHP is designed to support either a car hood or a tailgate, giving versatile use in the garage or on the road. The adjustable heights and secure tip make it suitable for a wide variety of panel shapes and angles.

• Universal fit for hoods and tailgates across many vehicle types
• Stable positioning for angled or vertical panels
• Durable finish prevents deterioration from workshop conditions

Who is this for? The EZ RED EZHP prop is ideal for DIY vehicle owners, mobile mechanics, and professional technicians who need a reliable, portable support for routine checks and repairs. If you want a corrosion-resistant, adjustable prop that is quick to set up, holds heavy panels securely, and stores easily, this tool fits into any automotive toolkit.
