Flame King T-Racks 5LB Propane Tank Mounting Bracket Strap — Steel Frame, Rubber-Lined Stainless Strap

Flame King T-Racks® 5LB Propane Tank Mounting Bracket Strap is a compact, steel-mounted holder that locks a Flame King 5LB cylinder in place to prevent tipping and rolling during travel.

When you’re outfitting an RV, trailer, campervan, jeep, or overland rig, small items like a 5-pound propane cylinder need a reliable mounting solution. The Flame King T-Racks bracket is built specifically for Flame King 5LB steel tanks and combines a rugged frame with a rubber-lined stainless strap so the cylinder stays secure without scratching its finish. It’s a vehicle-mounted option designed to resist vibration and keep a spare fuel source accessible and stable on the move.

How does the T-Racks bracket keep a 5LB propane tank stable on rough roads?

The bracket’s high-quality steel frame cradles the tank and prevents lateral movement while the stainless steel strap compresses it gently against rubber padding. Together they reduce roll and tipping under cornering and on uneven surfaces.

• Solid steel frame sized for a 5LB Flame King cylinder
• Stainless strap lined with rubber to grip without scratching
• Compact footprint (8.125" W x 9.45" H) for tight mounting locations
• Designed to minimize vibration and shifting while driving

Can I install this bracket on my RV, trailer, or jeep—what hardware do I need?

The bracket is ready to accept common fasteners but does not include mounting hardware, giving you flexibility to match your vehicle’s surface and weight requirements. Use stainless bolts, lock washers, and structural backing appropriate for the mounting material.

• Bracket requires user-supplied mounting bolts and backing plates
• Works on wood, metal, composite decks with correct fasteners
• Recommended: stainless hardware for corrosion resistance near the outdoors
• Consider vibration-damping washers or lock-tight for secure attachments

Is this bracket compatible with other cylinders or just Flame King 5LB tanks?

This mounting bracket is manufactured specifically for the dimensions and contours of the Flame King 5LB steel cylinder. It’s engineered to provide a snug, secure fit for that tank model, so fit with other brands or sizes is not guaranteed.

• Compatible only with Flame King 5LB steel tanks
• Not recommended for larger cylinders or non-Flame King models
• Ensures correct strap tension and rubber contact for the intended tank
• Using mismatched tanks could compromise security and is discouraged

How durable is the T-Racks bracket for long-term outdoor use?

The frame’s heavy-duty steel construction combined with a stainless strap and protective rubber lining were chosen for longevity in outdoor and mobile environments. With proper installation and occasional inspection, it will provide season-after-season service.

• Durable steel frame designed for vehicle mounting
• Stainless strap resists corrosion and maintains tension
• Rubber padding prevents wear on the tank and reduces rattling
• Periodic checks of fasteners and strap tightness recommended
