Formula 88 Cleaner & Degreaser - Multi-Surface Car & Marine Cleaner, 2×32oz Concentrate, Heavy-Duty Spray

Formula 88 Cleaner & Degreaser is a heavy-duty, multi-surface cleaner that lifts grease, grime and residues from automotive and marine interiors and exteriors with a fast spray-and-rinse process.

Whether you’re detailing a car, prepping a boat for the season, or tackling greasy workshop floors, this commercial-strength formula works across metal, plastic, vinyl, cloth, carpet and fiberglass without leaving a sticky film. Developed for professional detailers and home users since 1979, the concentrated spray cleans tough soils while remaining safe for routine interior and exterior use when applied as directed.

How quickly will Formula 88 remove grease and stains?

Most light-to-moderate soils loosen within minutes of application, making cleanup fast. For heavily soiled areas, allow extra dwell time and agitate gently before rinsing or wiping to ensure complete removal.

• Spray evenly and wait 3–5 minutes for typical grime.
• Agitate with a brush for stubborn oil or embedded dirt.
• Rinse or wipe away—no oily residue left behind.

Can I use it on both interior fabrics and exterior surfaces?

Yes. Formula 88 is formulated to clean many different materials, including cloth, carpet, vinyl, painted metal and fiberglass. Always test an inconspicuous area first if you’re unsure, and follow the recommended application for best results.

• Safe for vinyl dashboards, door panels and upholstery when spot-tested.
• Effective on painted surfaces, wheels and engine components when rinsed properly.
• Works on non-porous exterior surfaces like fiberglass and plastic trim.

What’s the easiest way to apply it on large areas like floors or decks?

For expansive surfaces, apply more liberally, allow the solution to break down soils, then hose or pressure rinse. On concrete or marine decks, a broom or scrub brush speeds lifting and rinsing of trapped grime.

• Generously spray concrete or decking before scrubbing.
• Let the product work a few minutes on heavy buildup, then rinse.
• Repeat for oil-saturated spots or heavily trafficked zones.

Will Formula 88 replace my other cleaners and pre-soaks?

Formula 88 is designed as a versatile replacement for many detergents, degreasers and laundry pre-treatments, reducing the need for multiple specialty products. Its broad cleaning profile handles oil, road grime and everyday dirt so you can streamline your detailing kit or cleaning supply closet.

• Replaces many specialty degreasers for cars and boats.
• Functions as a pre-soak for washable fabrics and carpets.
• Commercial-grade strength trusted by detail professionals.

Who is this for? Formula 88 is aimed at automotive and marine enthusiasts, professional detailers, and homeowners who need a reliable, all-purpose cleaner for interiors, exteriors and workshop surfaces.
