Gedlex Folding Safety Steps 4-Pack Black E-Coat Steel Fold-Down Truck & RV Steps with Textured Grip

Gedlex 4 Pack Black Folding Safety Steps are heavy-duty E-coat steel grab handles and flip-up steps that mount to trucks, trailers, RVs, boats and buses to provide a secure, fold-flat step or handle when needed.

These compact fold-down steps combine a sturdy textured stepping surface with a slim, low-profile folded position for safe driving and neat storage. Built from E-coat steel for corrosion resistance, each unit opens to a solid 90° step and folds flat against the vehicle when not in use. The set includes four black steps designed to add practical access points to exterior doors, cargo areas, and boarding locations.

How strong and durable are these Gedlex fold-down steps?

The steps are constructed from E-coat steel that resists rust and holds up to outdoor exposure. The finish and solid steel construction are intended for frequent use on commercial and recreational vehicles without rapid wear.

• Material: E-coat steel for corrosion protection
• Heavy-duty hinge and bracket design for repeated opening
• Textured step surface to improve grip in wet or muddy conditions
• Black finish hides wear and matches many vehicle exteriors

How do these steps mount and fold for driving?

Each step mounts directly to a vehicle body or frame using through-bolts (hardware not included). Once installed, the step opens to 90° to create a flat, stable platform and quickly folds up flat against the mounting surface to stay clear while driving.

• Opens to a 90° locked position for secure footing
• Folds flat for safe transit and streamlined appearance
• Compact base for straightforward surface mounting
• Four-step pack gives multiple access points or spares

What are the size and fit details I should check before ordering?

Confirm the step base and step footprint fit your chosen mounting location and that your mounting hardware and substrate can support the load. The exact step and plate dimensions help ensure compatibility with doorways, bumper edges, or body panels.

• Step base plate: 4-4/5" (H) x 1-2/5" (W)
• Step platform: 3.9" x 2" with textured surface
• Product sold as a 4-piece pack for multiple mounting points
• Requires appropriate bolts and backing support for secure installation

Will these steps work on boats, RVs, and trailers?

Yes — the E-coat finish and compact folding design make the steps suitable for boats, RVs, trailers, campers, buses and many truck types. They are intended as utility access aids rather than specialized boarding systems.

• Designed for exterior vehicle use including marine and RV applications
• Fold-flat design reduces snagging while underway
• Black finish complements many vehicle styles for a discreet look
• Four pieces allow consistent step placement across vehicle sides
