Griot's Garage Ceramic Speed Shine Detail Spray — One Gallon, SiO2 Gloss & Hydrophobic

Griot's Garage Ceramic Speed Shine is a SiO2-infused ceramic detail spray that delivers an instant high-gloss finish, slick surface feel, and added water‑resistance to exterior vehicle surfaces.

Made to professional standards, this one-gallon ceramic detailer combines silane polymer technology with silica (SiO2) to refresh shine and reinforce existing protection between washes. It’s formulated to remove light dust, fingerprints, and smudges while leaving a hydrophobic layer that beads water and reduces spotting. Fast to apply and safe on multiple exterior materials, it’s a practical maintenance product for enthusiasts, pros, and anyone who prefers a showroom look with minimal effort.

How does it restore gloss and surface slickness?

The spray lays down a thin polymer film that enhances reflectivity and decreases surface friction, resulting in a mirror-like shine and slick feel. The silica component helps produce refraction that improves depth and clarity of the paint and clear coat.

• SiO2 and silane polymers boost gloss and depth
• Quick evaporating carrier leaves a smooth, slick finish
• Works on clear coat to visually deepen color and highlights

Can it protect painted surfaces from water and light contaminants?

Yes — the formula creates a hydrophobic barrier that encourages water to bead and roll off, which helps reduce water spotting and makes rinsing easier. It’s intended as a maintenance layer rather than a replacement for full ceramic coating but will extend coating life when used regularly.

• Hydrophobic finish repels rain and road spray
• Helps minimize light water spots and dust adhesion
• Suitable for routine touch-ups to maintain coating performance

Which vehicle surfaces can I safely use this on?

Griot's Garage Ceramic Speed Shine is formulated for broad exterior use: paint, glass, plastic trim, chrome, and wheels. Because it’s pH‑balanced and fast‑drying, it’s a versatile option for finishing many surfaces without streaking or residue when applied correctly.

• Safe on clear coats, OEM paint, and factory plastics
• Effective on glass to add temporary repellency
• Works as a quick wheel and brightwork refresher between washes

How do I use it for best results and maintenance?

Use as a quick detail spray on a clean, cool surface: mist lightly and wipe with a microfiber towel for instant gloss and protection. It also works as a drying aid after rinsing or as a lubricant when using clay or light polishing, improving workflow and results.

• Mist onto panels or a microfiber, then buff with a clean towel
• Apply on damp surfaces as a drying aid to reduce water spots
• Use as a clay lubricant or to boost existing ceramic coatings

Who this is for: Ideal for car enthusiasts, detailers, and busy owners who want pro-level results without lengthy procedures. If you already use ceramic coatings or regularly detail your vehicle, this gallon-sized bottle supplies economical refills for shops or passionate DIYers to maintain mirror-like shine, protect surfaces from light contamination, and speed up weekly touch-ups.
