Halero 78"x40" Light Grey Underfelt Carpet Panel for Speaker Boxes & Boots — 21.12 sq ft, UV- and oil-resistant

Halero's 78" × 40" light gray underfelt is a heavy-duty, unbacked polyester carpet panel engineered for speaker boxes, trunk liners, RVs, boats and automotive interior projects.

This unbacked auto carpet delivers a neutral light-gray finish and a 21.12 square-foot panel that’s easy to trim, shape and glue for custom installations. Made from 100% solution-dyed polyester fiber, the fabric resists fading, oil, gasoline and salt exposure while remaining flexible enough to wrap around curved enclosures and line cargo areas. It ships folded; lay it flat or use gentle steaming to relax any creases before installation.

How does this carpet perform in automotive and marine environments?

The Halero underfelt is designed with durability and environmental resistance in mind. Solution-dyed polyester retains color and withstands UV exposure better than surface-dyed textiles, while the fiber blend tolerates contact with common automotive fluids.

• Resists gas, oil and salt for use in trunks and boat compartments
• UV-stable color to reduce fading from sun exposure
• Flexible enough to conform to rounded speaker boxes and cargo contours
• Unbacked surface for easy adhesive bonding to wood, MDF and painted surfaces

Can I cut and shape this carpet for speaker boxes or trunk liners?

Yes—this carpet is intentionally easy to trim and shape with standard tools. The fabric cleans up neatly when cut, allowing precise fits for subwoofer enclosures, PA speaker boxes and custom trim panels.

• Cut with a utility knife or heavy-duty scissors for clean edges
• Flexible nap conforms around curves and corners without bunching
• Adheres well using common contact or spray adhesives designed for fabrics
• Ideal panel size for small-to-medium projects; can be overlapped for larger areas

What should I expect when the carpet arrives and how do I prepare it?

The carpet ships folded to fit packaging; light creasing is normal and easy to remove. Allow the panel to rest flat for several hours in a warm room, or apply gentle steam or a low-heat iron from the reverse side to smooth folds before gluing or stapling.

• Delivered folded — lay flat for a few hours to relax folds
• Use light steaming or low-heat ironing from the back to remove creases
• Trim excess after fitting to ensure tight seams and neat corners
• Test adhesive compatibility on a scrap before full application

How long will this carpet last and what warranty is included?

Constructed from tough polyester fibers and solution-dyed for colorfastness, the carpet is built for long-term use in demanding environments. Halero backs the product with a 12-month quality warranty and offers customer support if any issues arise during installation.

• 100% polyester fiber for abrasion resistance and longevity
• Solution-dyed yarns for consistent color and UV resistance
• 12-month quality warranty with responsive customer service
• Suitable for heavy-use areas such as trunks, cargo bays and speaker boxes

Who this is for: If you’re building or refurbishing speaker cabinets, lining trunks, outfitting an RV or boat interior, or creating a protective carpet layer for pickups and cargo areas, this Halero underfelt panel is a practical, economical choice. It’s aimed at DIYers, professional installers and hobbyists who need an easy-to-work-with, fade-resistant fabric that bonds cleanly to wood, MDF and common auto substrates without a factory backing. If you require a different color, backing type or continuous roll width, consider measuring project needs before purchase.
