High Road Large TrashStash Hanging Car Trash Can — 4.5‑Gallon Waterproof with Push‑Close Lid

The High Road Large TrashStash is a 4.5-gallon waterproof, hanging car trash can with a spring-frame push-close lid that keeps garbage contained and odors minimized.

Designed from a tradition of marine-style hanging bins, this upgraded TrashStash brings a leakproof, hands-friendly waste solution to cars, SUVs, and trucks. Built with 500D oxford polyester and a metal spring-frame top, it hangs neatly from a headrest or seatback without crowding legroom, and the push-close lid opens easily with a single hand while driving.

How does the TrashStash prevent leaks and control odors?

The TrashStash uses a heat-sealed waterproof lining and a spring-frame top that stays closed when not in use, helping keep liquids and smells inside. High Road tested this size by filling it and leaving water overnight to confirm the lining and seams hold up under real conditions.

• Heat-sealed inner lining resists seepage
• Exclusive spring-frame top stays shut to trap odors
• Push-close lid with front pull tab for one-handed access
• No additional disposable liners required for routine use

Will the TrashStash fit without blocking passengers or gear?

The rectangular, space-conscious shape is intended to hang off the seatback so it doesn’t invade footwells or center consoles. Its larger 4.5-gallon capacity gives more holding room than smaller bins while still leaving adequate legroom for backseat riders.

• Wide rectangular profile designed for minimal leg interference
• Hangs from headrest or hooks for flexible placement
• Larger capacity than typical 3-gallon car bins for fewer emptying trips
• Quick-release buckle allows fast removal and re-hanging

How do I clean and maintain the TrashStash?

Maintenance is simple: unclip the quick-release buckle, empty contents, and wipe or rinse the interior. The durable 500D fabric and heat-sealed lining stand up to spot cleaning so you can reuse it without buying replacement bags.

• Quick-release buckle for fast removal and emptying
• Wipeable or rinse-friendly waterproof lining
• Durable 500D oxford polyester resists wear and dirt
• No mandatory liners, reducing ongoing costs

What makes this model different from smaller car trash cans?

This Large TrashStash expands capacity to 4.5 gallons while retaining the original hanging, waterproof design that High Road developed from sailboat bins. It keeps more trash off seats and floors and is tested for leakproof performance in everyday vehicle conditions.

• Increased volume compared to the 3-gallon TrashStash model
• Proven leakproof build—tested by filling and standing overnight
• Spring-frame top for reliable closure versus open-top alternatives
• Engineered to avoid replacing liners or bags frequently

Who is this for? Drivers who want a durable, low-fuss way to control trash and odors in their vehicle will find the High Road Large TrashStash especially useful—families, rideshare and delivery drivers, commuters, and anyone who eats or spends long stretches in their car. If you need a larger-capacity, leak-resistant hanging trash solution that opens with one hand and frees floor space, the TrashStash is designed for that purpose.
