HUOPO 10" Gas Struts 45N (10 lb) Pair for Toolboxes — 10mm Ball-Stud with Brackets, Nylon Sockets

HUOPO 10 inch 10lb/45N gas struts are a matched pair of lift supports with ball-stud fittings and mounting brackets designed to replace or upgrade toolbox, RV, boat, and cabinet lids.

These 10" gas shocks deliver a consistent 45N (≈10 lb) lift force and come complete with nylon socket connectors, 10mm ball studs, four brackets, and mounting screws for a straightforward swap. The struts measure 9.69" extended and 6.05" compressed, so they suit many common toolbox and small-lid applications; compare your OEM dimensions or interchange numbers before ordering to ensure fit. HUOPO includes parts and a 13-month replacement commitment to simplify installation and support.

How do these gas struts improve opening and closing of a toolbox or lid?

These struts moderate lid movement by applying steady upward force and controlled damping, which prevents slams and keeps lids open at a convenient angle. They reduce wear on hinges and make access safer for hands and tools.

• 45N (10 lb) rated lift for lightweight lids
• Ball-stud end fittings for smooth pivoting
• Nylon socket connectors to reduce noise and friction
• Helps prevent sudden closures and reduces hinge strain

Will these replace my current gas shocks and how do I confirm compatibility?

Measure your OEM gas spring’s extended and compressed lengths and check the end fittings against the HUOPO specifications. HUOPO lists interchange numbers like 6649IM and SX093P11 to aid matching, but a direct dimension and connector comparison is the most reliable method.

• Extended length: 9.69 inches; compressed: 6.05 inches
• End fitting type: 10mm ball stud with 10mm nylon socket
• Interchange cue numbers: 6649IM, SX093P11
• Compare force (45N) to your OEM to ensure similar lift

What’s included and what tools are required for installation?

The package comes ready for a direct swap: two gas struts, four mounting brackets, and ten screws — everything needed to secure both sides of a lid. Basic installation uses a flat screwdriver; no special tools or professional service are required for most straightforward replacements.

• Package: 2 gas struts, 4 mounting brackets, 10 screws
• Connector type: nylon socket — snaps onto 10mm ball studs
• Typical tool: flat screwdriver for bracket screws
• Installation tip: support the lid while replacing one side at a time

How durable are these gas shocks and what customer support is available?

HUOPO designs these struts for everyday use on toolboxes, RV compartments, and small lids; materials and fittings are standard for this category. The brand backs the product with a 13-month replacement service and promises a fast customer response to address fitment or performance concerns.

• Standard durable components suitable for exterior and interior lids
• 13-month replacement warranty from HUOPO
• Customer service response within 12 hours for inquiries
• Recommended to verify fit to prolong service life
