J-B Weld WoodWeld Syringe is a fast-setting, two-part epoxy specifically engineered to bond, rebuild and finish wood with a durable, light-tan result.
Designed for carpentry, furniture repair and woodworking projects, this 2-pack delivers a 25 ml twin-syringe of resin and hardener that mix 1:1 for quick set and high-strength curing. WoodWeld sets in about 15 minutes and reaches workable cure in roughly 30–60 minutes, allowing sanding, drilling and painting soon after. Rated at 3770 PSI tensile strength, the cured material machines like wood and blends visually with light tan wood tones.
WoodWeld provides a fast initial set and a short cure window so you can move to finishing steps sooner than many traditional wood adhesives. Expect handling strength within about 15 minutes and a functional cure around 30–60 minutes depending on temperature and joint size.
Yes — once fully cured WoodWeld machines and finishes much like wood, so you can sand, tap, drill and paint the repair to match surrounding material. The cured epoxy holds shape under standard woodworking tools and accepts common finishes for blending.
WoodWeld produces a high-strength structural bond rated at 3770 PSI tensile strength, which in many applications exceeds the strength of the wood itself. Its cured body provides lasting support for broken parts, splits and areas needing gap-filling, resisting shrinking and crumbling that some glues suffer from.
Application is straightforward: dispense equal parts from the twin-chamber syringe, mix thoroughly, apply to the repair, clamp if needed, and let set. A resealable no-waste cap preserves leftover product in the syringe for later use, keeping material fresh between projects.
Who is this for: WoodWeld is suited for woodworkers, cabinetmakers, furniture restorers, hobbyists and DIY homeowners who need a quick, strong, sandable and paintable solution for broken, split or missing wood. It works well for structural repairs and cosmetic rebuilding on interior wood pieces, trim, mouldings and furniture where a light-tan finish is acceptable or paint/stain will be applied. Avoid relying on epoxy alone for critical outdoor structural elements unless protected; always follow appropriate safety and surface-prep steps for optimal adhesion.
Q: What is the mixing ratio and set time?
A: WoodWeld mixes 1:1 by volume, sets in about 15 minutes and reaches a workable cure around 30–60 minutes.
Q: Can I sand and paint WoodWeld after curing?
A: Yes. Once cured to a light tan, it can be sanded, drilled and painted or stained to match surrounding wood.
