JY PERFORMANCE Truck Bed Extender Hitch Mount with Flag & Reflective Tape — 750 lb Capacity, Adjustable 28–48 in

The JY PERFORMANCE Truck Bed Extender Hitch Mount is an adjustable, heavy-duty steel cargo extender that increases a vehicle's hauling length and secures oversized loads with reflective safety features.

When your pickup, van, or SUV needs extra carrying reach, this hitch-mounted bed extender offers a simple, reliable solution. Built from powder-coated steel with a secure locking mechanism, the extender expands the usable length of short beds and provides a stable platform for long items like lumber, ladders, and watercraft. It installs into a standard 2-inch receiver and converts between compact and extended positions to suit varying loads.

How much weight can this bed extender carry safely?

The unit supports up to 750 lbs of distributed load, designed for heavy but non-excessive cargo such as kayaks, lumber bundles, and long equipment. Always confirm your vehicle's tongue weight and hitch capacity before loading to avoid overloading.

• Rated maximum load: 750 lbs distributed
• Best for long, rigid items—kayaks, ladders, lumber
• Do not exceed your vehicle or hitch manufacturer's capacity

What are the adjustable dimensions and how does it fit different vehicles?

The extender adjusts in width from 28.25" to 48.25" and in height from 15" to 23", making it compatible with many short-bed trucks, vans, and SUVs. The telescoping design lets you customize the footprint to match your load and vehicle geometry.

• Width range: 28.25"–48.25" for varied cargo sizes
• Height range: 15"–23" for clearance and support
• Fits standard 2" hitch receivers—no special adapters required

What safety features help keep cargo secure during travel?

This extender combines a locking hitch mount, heavy-gauge steel construction, and bright visibility aids to minimize movement and improve nighttime awareness. Reflective tape and an attached flag enhance visibility to other road users when transporting protruding loads.

• Secure locking design reduces wobble and shifting
• Reflective tape and flag increase nighttime visibility
• Durable black powder-coat resists corrosion and wear

How does the 2‑in‑1 design make this more versatile?

The 2-in-1 concept refers to the extender functioning both as a rear cargo platform and a temporary rack for long items, switching between compact storage and extended hauling quickly. This flexibility reduces the need for permanent roof racks or multiple accessories.

• Transforms from folded storage mode to full-length support
• Works as an extension of the bed or as a rear cargo cradle
• Quick adjustments let you adapt to different loads and vehicles
