KUST Jeep Wrangler Windscreen Sun Shade for 1997-2018 TJ/JK/JKU — Reflective Silver, Foldable with Memory-Steel Frame

KUST's custom windshield sun shade for 1997–2018 Jeep Wrangler TJ, JK and JKU fits the glass precisely to block sunlight and reduce interior heat buildup.

If you own a Jeep Wrangler from model years 1997 through 2018 and want a windshield sun protector engineered for that windshield shape, this accessory is tailored to sit flush against the glass with no gaps. It combines a reflective silver face with a black insulating inner layer and a memory-steel frame so the shade installs and folds in seconds while protecting dash, seats and electronics from prolonged sun exposure.

How does this shade reduce interior temperature and protect surfaces?

The shade uses a double-layer 250T reflective fabric that sends sunlight back out and keeps heat from radiating into the cabin. By cutting direct solar load it lowers the starting interior temperature, helping your air conditioning reach comfort quicker and reducing heat stress on plastics and upholstery.

• Reflective silver outer layer redirects sunlight and glare.
• Black inner layer provides thermal insulation and reduces radiant heat transfer.
• Blocks up to 99% of UV rays to slow fading and material breakdown.
• Helps AC cool the cabin faster, lowering idle cooling time and energy use.

Will this shade actually fit my Wrangler TJ/JK/JKU windshield?

This model is produced to match the windshield dimensions for Jeep Wrangler TJ, JK and JKU produced between 1997 and 2018. The shaped contour and elastic memory-steel frame are built to cover the entire glass area so there are no unsightly gaps at the edges.

• Vehicle-specific cut for 1997–2018 Wrangler TJ, JK, JKU windshields.
• Full-coverage design sits flush for a cleaner look and better protection.
• Elastic steel wire frame preserves shape and fit over repeated folding.
• No adhesives or suction cups needed — installs in seconds.

How easy is installation, storage and everyday use?

The shade unfolds quickly and is positioned against the windshield, silver side facing out to reflect sunlight. To fold it back for storage you simply grab opposite edges and twist in a figure-eight motion; the memory steel wire retains the looped shape so it tucks compactly into the included storage pocket or behind a seat.

• Quick install—place and secure without tools, cups or tape.
• Folds into a compact circle using the simple twist-figure-eight method.
• Durable materials resist creasing and keep their shape season after season.
• Lightweight for easy handling and stowing when not in use.

What materials and care practices keep this shade effective over time?

Constructed from 250T reflective fabric with a dual-layer build, the shade is designed to retain reflective performance and resist wear. Routine gentle cleaning and dry storage will prolong life; avoid abrasive scrubbing or long-term exposure to standing water.

• 250T reflective fabric resists sun degradation and keeps reflective properties.
• Double-layer design: silver outward for reflection, black inward for insulation.
• Hand wipe with mild soap and air dry—do not machine wash.
• Avoid prolonged moisture to protect the memory-steel frame from corrosion.
