LABARAIN's 2 AWG negative battery cable is a 22-inch heavy-duty ground/negative lead with tinned copper lugs and a 17mm brass terminal built for secure, low-resistance connections in vehicles, inverters, and battery banks.
This compact negative battery cable combines a thick 2 AWG pure copper core with tinned copper lugs, a brass 17mm battery connector, and reinforced insulation so you can extend a battery, parallel two batteries, or create a reliable ground point with minimal voltage drop. At 22 inches (55 cm) it’s long enough for common engine bay and inverter layouts while staying short enough to reduce unnecessary resistance and clutter. The assembled ends are heat-shrunk and PVC coated to resist moisture, oil, and abrasion during long service life.
The 2 AWG conductor delivers low-resistance current flow for negative/ground paths compared with thinner wiring, reducing voltage loss under heavy loads. Tinned copper lugs and a brass 17mm terminal maintain conductivity and slow corrosion, so connections stay consistent over time.
LABARAIN designed the negative cable with a 17mm brass terminal that fits the vast majority of vehicle and inverter negative posts. The accompanying 10mm lug accepts 8–10mm screw rods, making the cable versatile for different mounting styles and battery hardware.
This ground lead uses polyolefin heat shrink over each terminal and a heat-resistant PVC jacket along the conductor to seal connections and shield the wire. The combined materials offer resistance to oil, water spray, temperature swings, and mechanical abrasion commonly found in engine bays and outdoor installations.
Install the negative cable while the system is powered down and follow manufacturer torque specs for terminal fasteners to avoid loose or overheated connections. Use the short 22-inch length close to the battery or inverter to minimize resistance; secure the cable away from moving or hot components for long-term reliability.
Who is this for? Technicians, DIYers, and system builders who need a short, heavy-gauge negative cable for batteries, inverters, RVs, boats, or solar battery banks will find this LABARAIN 2 AWG 22-inch lead practical and reliable. It suits anyone replacing worn negative leads, extending a battery connection with minimal voltage drop, or creating a secure ground in compact installations. If you require a thicker gauge or different length, compare products to match your system’s amp requirements and terminal sizes, but for many common automotive and inverter setups this cable provides a durable, low-resistance negative connection.
Q: Is this cable compatible with marine batteries?
A: Yes — the tinned lugs and brass terminal resist corrosion, making it suitable for many marine battery ground connections.
Q: Can I use this for parallel battery setups?
A: Yes — the 2 AWG conductor and 22-inch length work well for parallel connections between batteries in small to medium systems.
