These cartridges are manufactured to work with the Leak Shot HVAC kit (sold separately) and provide a clean, professional source of high‑pressure CO2 that won’t introduce contaminants into cooling systems. Built and specified by HVAC technicians, the eight‑pack is intended for use on systems up to 5 tons and pairs with Leak Saver Direct Inject sealant for targeted leak repair and condensate drain clearing.
The cartridges contain refrigerant‑grade CO2 at high pressure and thread into the Leak Shot HVAC tool to provide the burst of gas needed for line clearing and pressurization. They are sized and rated to meet the tool’s operating requirements so you get consistent performance each time.
Used with the Leak Saver Direct Inject sealant (sold separately), the CO2 cartridges allow safe pressurization and delivery of sealant into the system to help isolate and treat leaks. The cartridges themselves provide the working pressure for injecting sealant or for performing targeted pressure tests.
Follow the Leak Shot HVAC tool instructions and standard HVAC safety procedures when handling high‑pressure CO2 cartridges. Store cartridges in a cool, dry place, avoid exposure to direct sunlight, and use eye and hand protection during installation and operation.
Coverage varies by task—clearing condensate lines often consumes less CO2 than pressure testing and injecting sealant—so one cartridge may suffice for small jobs while larger repairs can require multiple cartridges. Professionals keep packs on hand to ensure they have enough cartridges for several small jobs or a handful of larger repairs.
Who is this for: HVAC technicians, service contractors, and informed DIYers who already own the Leak Shot HVAC tool and need a reliable source of refrigerant‑grade CO2 for condensate clearing, pressure testing, and assisting with direct inject leak repairs. These cartridges suit field professionals who want technician‑grade consumables they can depend on for consistent, contaminant‑free performance.
Q: Are these cartridges compatible with systems above 5 tons?
A: They are specified for systems up to 5 tons; larger systems may need additional cartridges or professional evaluation.
Q: Can I use these cartridges without the Leak Shot HVAC tool?
A: They are made to work with the Leak Shot HVAC tool; using them with other devices is not recommended.
