leaveshade RV awning side sun shade screen — 9'x7' Black, 86% UV block & ventilated vinyl-coated mesh

Leaveshade RV Awning Side Sun Shade Screen is a 9' x 7' black vinyl-coated polyester mesh panel that attaches to your RV awning to block about 86% of UV, lower patio temperature, reduce wind and keep out light rain while preserving outward visibility.

Designed for travelers who want a cooler, more private outdoor living area beside their camper, this side shade fits most popular awning systems (Dometic/A&E, Carefree, Lippert, Fiamma, Solera). The durable, double-stitched mesh balances sun protection with airflow so you can enjoy daylight views without the heat and glare. All mounting hardware is included in a zipper storage bag for quick installation and compact stowage.

How does this shade reduce heat and protect from UV?

The fabric uses a vinyl-coated polyester mesh that blocks roughly 86% of ultraviolet rays while permitting airflow. That combination lowers the ambient temperature beneath your awning by an estimated 15–25°F and reduces direct sun exposure to skin and eyes without completely closing off the view.

• Vinyl-coated polyester mesh for UV reduction and durability
• High-porosity weave maintains airflow to avoid stuffiness
• Measured sun block performance ~86% UV cutoff
• Black finish reduces glare while preserving outward visibility

Will the shade withstand wind and light rain?

Yes—the panel is engineered to break crosswinds and limit wind-driven spray into your patio area. The weave and heavy-duty edges channel wind forces while the included bungee cords and zinc alloy hooks keep the shade secured. It’s not a full storm barrier, but it effectively reduces wind gusts and sheds light rain to make the outdoor space usable in variable weather.

• Breaks crosswind action to protect seated areas
• Helps keep light rain out of the patio space
• Reinforced eyelets and bungees for a secure mount
• Stainless steel screws and zinc alloy hooks included for anchored installs

How easy is installation and what comes in the kit?

Installation is straightforward: the shade is lightweight and ships with every accessory needed to mount it quickly to most awnings. A practical design with high-extension bungees speeds setup and removal, and the zipper storage bag keeps all parts organized for travel.

• Included: 2 stakes, 1 short and 3 long bungee ropes, 2 zinc alloy hooks
• 4 stainless steel drilling screws for secure attachment
• Zipper storage bag for compact packing and transport
• Lightweight fabric and simple bungee connections for fast setup
