The Lisle 27800 Universal Noid Light is a compact, suction-mount tester that verifies injector pulse patterns on most electronic fuel-injection systems.
Designed for technicians and DIY mechanics, this noid light gives a clear visual check of injector electrical pulses without disassembling the fuel system. Its adjustable probe adapters and one-person, windshield-mount design let you observe injector firing from the driver’s seat while cranking the engine, making troubleshooting faster and safer.
When connected to an injector harness, the LED flashes in time with the injector’s control pulses. A steady flash pattern indicates normal pulsing, while no flash or a continuous glow points to wiring, ECU, or injector driver issues.
The tool is built to be universally compatible with most electronic fuel injection arrangements, including throttle body, ported, and sequential central port injectors. Two screw-on probe adapters increase probe diameter to match various connector sizes.
The 27800 includes a suction cup attachment that secures the unit to the vehicle windshield or a metal panel, keeping the LED in your line of sight. This hands-free setup lets one person crank the engine and monitor injector pulses safely from the driver’s seat.
The tool tells you whether an injector is receiving the proper electrical pulse, helping isolate faults in wiring, grounds, ECU outputs, or the injector itself. It does not measure fuel flow, injector opening times quantitatively, or internal injector mechanical health.
Who is this for? The Lisle 27800 is ideal for professional mechanics, service technicians, and skilled DIYers who regularly troubleshoot EFI systems and need a quick, reliable way to confirm injector pulse signals. Its compact size, adjustable probes, and single-operator mounting make it a practical addition to garage toolkits, mobile service vans, and diagnostic benches. Note the product is an electrical pulse tester—combine it with fuel-pressure and injector-flow tools when a comprehensive fuel-system diagnosis is required.
Q: Will the Lisle 27800 work on my port-injected car?
A: Yes. Its adjustable probes and adapters fit throttle body, ported, and sequential central port injectors on most EFI systems.
Q: What does a steady light mean when testing?
A: A steady (constant) light or no light indicates a wiring, ground, ECU output, or injector driver problem rather than normal pulsed operation.
