This six-pack of Dr. Tranny by Lubegard contains small, easy-to-use 2 oz tubes engineered for targeted treatment of transmission shudder. The formulation is a highly concentrated blend of synthetic friction modifiers and esters compatible with both conventional and synthetic ATF; it is intended to be a quick corrective measure to smooth torque-converter engagement and reduce transmission wear. It is not suitable for Ford Type F fluids or continuously variable transmissions (CVT).
The product alters the friction characteristics inside the torque converter so that clutch engagement becomes smoother, eliminating the vibration commonly described as shudder. Because the formula is concentrated, a small dose modifies friction surfaces without changing bulk ATF properties.
Dr. Tranny is formulated to be compatible with conventional and synthetic automatic transmission fluids and is concentrated five times compared with standard modifiers, so only a small volume is required. The manufacturer reports reduced wear factors compared with untreated ATF, but for ongoing protection they recommend following up with Lubegard ATF Protectant (P/N 60902).
Each tube is a pre-measured 2 oz dose designed to be introduced into the transmission or ATF sump according to vehicle manufacturer recommendations or product directions. Because the tubes are single-use, they reduce mess and dosing errors; follow standard safety practices — run the engine as directed, monitor fluid level, and avoid Ford Type F or CVT systems.
Many drivers report a noticeable reduction in lock-up shudder shortly after treatment, but results depend on the underlying transmission condition. If vibration persists after treatment or other symptoms (slipping, burning smell, fluid contamination) occur, have the transmission inspected by a qualified technician to diagnose mechanical or hydraulic faults.
Who is this for? Dr. Tranny Lubegard Instant Shudder Fix is aimed at technicians, DIY enthusiasts, and vehicle owners who are experiencing torque-converter lock-up vibration and want a concentrated, easy-to-apply corrective product. It suits vehicles using conventional or synthetic ATF (excluding Ford Type F and CVT systems) and is especially useful as a targeted treatment before committing to costlier repairs. For sustained protection, consider pairing this treatment with Lubegard ATF Protectant P/N 60902 as part of your transmission maintenance plan.
Q: Can I use Dr. Tranny with synthetic ATF?
A: Yes. Dr. Tranny is compatible with conventional and synthetic automatic transmission fluids, but not with Ford Type F or CVT fluids.
Q: How many tubes are included and how are they dosed?
A: This six-pack contains six single-use 2 oz tubes; each tube is a measured dose intended for one treatment per vehicle according to instructions.
