The 91046-A kit combines a robust flush gun, a 36-inch hose, a 33 oz. aluminum canister and an adapter to give automotive and HVAC/R technicians a durable, shop-ready solution for component flushing. Built to run on standard shop air at 90–150 PSI, it accepts any lightweight flush solvent that can be mixed with pressurized air (solvent sold separately). This kit focuses on cleaning condensers, evaporators, and hoses to help reduce contamination during repairs or system retrofits.
When replacing a compressor, removing residual oil and debris from lines and heat exchangers prevents contamination of the new compressor and improves service reliability. The flush gun fires solvent mixed with shop air at controlled pressure through each component, pushing contaminants out of the circuit so you can evacuate and recharge the system cleanly.
The tool is engineered for professional shops but has clear limits: do not exceed the 150 PSI maximum rating and never flush compressors, expansion valves, filter-driers, or accumulators. Always follow the solvent manufacturer's instructions and local regulations for handling and disposing of used solvent and contaminated waste.
The kit works with systems charged with common refrigerants including R134a, R1234yf, R12, R22 and R410a because it simply delivers a pressurized solvent/air mixture — compatibility depends mainly on the solvent selected. Choose a lightweight, air-mixable flush solvent rated for the refrigerant and materials in the system to avoid chemical incompatibility.
The kit ships with the flush gun assembly, a 36-inch flexible hose for reach, a 33 oz. reusable aluminum canister, and a canister adapter. Because it’s a dedicated hardware package, technicians can start flushing without fabricating fittings or hunting for adapters, reducing job setup time and minimizing tool-related downtime.
Who is this for? The Mastercool 91046-A kit is aimed at professional automotive and HVAC/R technicians, fleet maintenance shops, and service centers that perform refrigerant system retrofits, compressor changes, or component overhauls. It’s best for technicians who need a rugged, portable flushing tool that integrates with standard shop air and allows selection of the solvent chemistry appropriate for each job. Not intended for flushing internal compressor components, expansion valves, or disposable filtration devices.
Q: Does the kit include flush solvent?
A: No. The 91046-A includes only the hardware; choose a compatible solvent such as Mastercool 91049 series.
Q: Can I use this kit on compressors or expansion valves?
A: No. Do not flush compressors, expansion valves, or filter-driers with this tool.
