Meguiar's M40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Conditioner 1 gal — Restores Colour, UV Protection

Meguiar's M40 Professional Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Conditioner is a spray-on formula that cleans, restores color, and provides UV-resistant protection for unpainted vinyl and rubber surfaces, available in a 1-gallon size.

Give interior and exterior trim a refreshed, factory-fresh appearance with a single treatment. This professional-grade product is formulated to penetrate faded surfaces, lift away contaminants, and leave a natural, non-greasy sheen while helping block UV damage that causes cracking and color loss. The 1-gallon refill size is ideal for detailing shops, fleet care, or enthusiasts who prefer bulk supply for repeated applications.

How does M40 restore faded vinyl and rubber?

M40 works by cleaning embedded soil and conditioning the substrate so original pigments look richer and more even. It doesn’t simply coat surfaces; it penetrates to rejuvenate the material’s appearance without leaving an artificial gloss.

• Pentrative cleaner lifts dirt and road film from seams and textured surfaces
• Conditioning components revitalize color and soften brittle trim
• Dries to a natural satin finish, not a greasy shine

Will it protect trim from sun and weather after treatment?

The formula includes UV-screening agents that reduce fading and degradation from sunlight. While not a lifetime solution, routine application helps slow the effects of sun exposure and extend the refreshed look of vinyl and rubber.

• UV-screening ingredients reduce photodegradation
• Creates a barrier against moisture and oxidation
• Recommended reapplication frequency depends on exposure and climate

Where on my vehicle can I use this product safely?

M40 is designed for unpainted vinyl and rubber trim both inside and out, including door seals, dash components, exterior moldings, bumpers, and weatherstripping. Avoid use on painted surfaces, fabric, or clear plastics unless specified safe by a spot test.

• Interior dash panels, consoles, and door inserts (unpainted)
• Exterior trim, rub strips, bumpers, and emblems (unpainted)
• Weatherstrips and rubber seals—use sparingly and wipe excess

How do I apply M40 for best, repeatable results?

Application is quick and effective: spray, agitate if needed, then wipe or buff. For heavy fading, a second pass brings deeper color restoration; for everyday maintenance, a light spray and wipe keeps trim looking fresh.

• Shake container, spray evenly 6–8 inches from surface
• Agitate with a soft brush for textured areas; wipe excess with microfiber
• Allow to dry to a natural sheen; reapply for deeper restoration

Who is this for? Detailers, fleet managers, restoration hobbyists, and motorists who want a durable, professional solution for vinyl and rubber revival will find the 1-gallon Meguiar's M40 convenient and cost-effective. It’s especially useful where repeated treatments are needed across many vehicles or large surface areas, providing a practical balance of powerful cleaning, color enhancement, and UV protection without leaving a slick, unnatural finish.
