Mothers California Gold Instant Detailer 1 Gallon Concentrate — Clay Lubricant & Quick Gloss

Mothers California Gold Instant Detailer is a fast-acting spray detailer that lifts light dirt, restores depth and gloss, and doubles as a clay bar lubricant for safe, no-hassle touch-ups.

Keep your vehicle looking freshly detailed between full washes with this one-gallon concentrate of the original Showtime formula now refreshed under the California Gold name. Formulated for use on all paint types and modern clearcoats, it removes smudges and dust, adds temporary slickness and clarity, and makes light surface maintenance simple and quick. It's designed for enthusiasts and pros who want a dependable product that both enhances appearance and helps when decontaminating paint with a clay bar.

How does this detailer remove dust and fingerprints without harming paint?

The formula safely loosens and lifts light surface contaminants so they can be wiped away without aggressive scrubbing. Its lubricating agents let a towel glide across paint, minimizing the risk of marring while removing smudges and fingerprints.

• Brightens surface gloss while breaking down surface dirt
• Gentle solvents and lubricants prevent wiping abrasion
• Safe for single-step spot cleaning between washes

Can I use it as a clay bar lubricant and what should I expect?

Yes — the Instant Detailer provides a slick, wet surface that reduces friction during claying. It helps the clay glide, so you can remove embedded contaminants more safely and with fewer passes.

• Generates durable lubrication for effective clay bar work
• Helps reveal smoother paint texture after decontamination
• Reduces the chance of surface scratching during claying

Will this product work on all paint finishes and clearcoats?

The formula is designed to be safe on factory paints, single-stage systems and modern clearcoats. It temporarily enhances depth and shine without introducing harsh abrasives, making it suitable for most exterior painted surfaces.

• Compatible with clearcoat and conventional paint finishes
• Leaves a slick protective residue that improves water beading briefly
• Ideal for quick cosmetic improvements before events or photos

How do I use the one-gallon size most efficiently?

The gallon provides value for detailing shops, enthusiasts with multiple vehicles, or anyone who prefers refilling smaller spray bottles. Dilute or decant into a trigger bottle for daily use and keep the bulk container sealed in a cool, dry place.

• Refill 16–32 oz trigger bottles for spot spraying
• Store upright, tightly capped to preserve performance
• Shake gently before filling a spray bottle to mix any settling

Who is this for: Mothers California Gold Instant Detailer in the one-gallon size suits car owners and professional detailers who need an effective, versatile product for fast touch-ups, clay-lubrication and maintaining a freshly detailed look without a full wash. If you manage multiple vehicles, run a detailing business, or simply want a high-capacity supply of a trusted quick-detail formula, this product delivers time-saving results and reliable compatibility with modern paints.
