These MXU 3D raised ABS tailgate letter inserts are custom-fit matte-black replacements for Chevy Colorado 2021–2022 recessed tailgate grooves, offering a simple, no-drill exterior upgrade.

If you want a clean, factory-style look without altering your truck, these MXU tailgate inserts are cut to match the original recessed lettering on 2021–2022 Colorado models. Made from durable ABS with a matte black coating and pre-applied automotive adhesive, they provide a weather-resistant cosmetic refresh that installs in minutes. They’re intended as a visual enhancement—no trimming or mechanical work required—so you can personalize the rear appearance while keeping the tailgate intact.

Will these inserts fit my Colorado tailgate grooves?

Yes—MXU designed these inserts specifically for the Chevrolet Colorado models from 2021 and 2022, matching the recessed letter cavities found on those tailgates. Fit depends on the original groove dimensions, so confirm your truck’s year and tailgate style before ordering.

• Laser-cut to follow the factory groove profile for 2021–2022 Colorado tailgates.
• Designed for recessed-letter tailgates only—not universal fit for other years or models.
• Check photos or your tailgate’s existing lettering pattern to verify compatibility.

How easy is installation and what tools are required?

Installation is straightforward and tool-free: clean the surface, peel the backing, and press the letters into the grooves. The inserts use pre-applied automotive-grade adhesive, so there’s no drilling, cutting, or bonding chemicals needed.

• Requires: surface cleaner (isopropyl alcohol recommended), lint-free cloth, and steady pressure for bonding.
• Adhesive is automotive-grade for long-lasting exterior hold.
• Allow adhesive cure time per instructions (avoid heavy washing or extreme conditions immediately after installation).

What materials and durability can I expect?

These inserts are molded from high-quality ABS plastic with a matte black finish that resists fading and light abrasion. They’re engineered for exterior use and withstand sun, rain, dust and routine driving conditions while preserving the look of your tailgate.

• ABS construction for impact resistance and dimensional stability.
• Matte coating reduces glare and hides minor surface wear.
• Weather-resistant adhesive and finish designed for outdoor exposure.

How will these letters change my truck’s appearance?

The matte-black raised letters create a subtle, factory-upgrade aesthetic that cleans up the rear styling and emphasizes the tailgate’s contours. The 3D effect adds depth and contrast without overpowering the vehicle’s original design.

• Gives a refreshed, custom look without permanent modifications.
• Makes the tailgate look more defined and upscale.
• Can complement other matte-black exterior accessories for a coordinated finish.

Who is this for: The MXU tailgate letter inserts are for Colorado owners (model years 2021–2022) who want a quick, reversible visual upgrade that keeps factory lines intact. They suit DIY-minded drivers who prefer a no-drill installation and a weather-resistant matte-black accent to modernize or personalize the truck’s rear end. If you need a universal fit, structural repair, or something for a different model year, verify compatibility or consider manufacturer-specified alternatives instead.
