Onsski Adjustable Trailer Hitch 2-inch Receiver — 6-inch Drop Dual-Ball, 12,500 lb Aluminium

The Onsski Adjustable Trailer Truck Drop Hitch is a 2"-receiver, heavy-duty aluminum dual-ball mount offering up to a 6" drop or rise and towing capacity to 12,500 lbs with included anti-theft locks and noise-silencing pads.

If you tow different trailers or change vehicles often, a versatile, secure hitch makes hookups faster and safer. The Onsski adjustable dual ball mount adapts to varying trailer heights, combines two ball sizes for broad compatibility, and pairs corrosion-resistant aluminum construction with theft-deterrent hardware. It’s built to reduce vibration and extend towing component life while remaining lightweight enough for easier handling than comparable steel units.

How does this hitch adapt to different trailer heights?

The Onsski unit offers a 6-inch total drop or rise range so you can level trailers without extra shims or adapters. Adjustment is tool-accessible and locks solidly into the receiver for dependable towing geometry.

• 6-inch total drop/rise range for common trailer height differences
• Multiple mounting positions for quick height selection
• Designed to maintain tongue angle for safer towing stability

Which ball sizes and capacities does it support?

This dual-ball mount is fitted with a 2-5/16" ball for heavier trailers (up to 12,500 lbs GTW) and a 2" ball suitable for lighter loads (rated to 8,000 lbs). Use the correct ball and shank position for your trailer’s coupler to meet capacity and safety needs.

• 2-5/16" ball — up to 12,500 lbs Gross Trailer Weight (GTW)
• 2" ball — up to 8,000 lbs GTW for lighter trailers
• Clearly labeled balls to avoid mismatched coupler use

What security and noise-reduction features are included?

Onsski bundles two stainless hitch-pin locks with unique keys and four rubber silencers to cut down on rattle. The locks protect the hitch from theft while the pads cushion metal contact points to reduce road noise and wear.

• Two stainless steel hitch-pin locks with three unique keys each
• Four silencers/pads to minimize vibration and metal-on-metal noise
• High-quality lock cylinders for improved tamper resistance

What materials and maintenance should owners expect?

The mount is manufactured from upgraded high-strength aluminum that resists rust and keeps weight lower than steel alternatives. Routine inspection of fasteners, locks, and silencers will keep the hitch performing reliably over seasons of use.

• Corrosion-resistant aluminum body for lighter weight and durability
• Periodic lubrication of locks and checking torque on hardware recommended
• Replace silencers if worn to maintain noise reduction benefits

Who this is for: The Onsski Adjustable Trailer Hitch is aimed at drivers who tow multiple trailers or frequently switch tow vehicles — RV owners, landscapers, contractors, and weekend boaters who need flexible height adjustment, two ball sizes for compatibility, and extra theft protection. If you want a lighter, corrosion-resistant mount that reduces hitch noise and comes with security hardware, this hitch is a practical choice. For safe operation, always match the ball size and position to your trailer’s coupler and stay within the specified towing ratings.
