Premium Guard PUREFLOW Cabin Air Filter for Hyundai Palisade 3.8L (2020–2025) — 4-Layer Media with Activated Carbon for Dust, Poll

The PUREFLOW PC99525X cabin air filter from Premium Guard is a direct-fit replacement designed to trap dust, pollen and odors for Hyundai Palisade 3.8L models from 2020–2025.

This cabin air filter swaps into the factory housing to cut airborne particulates before they reach your vehicle’s ventilation system. Engineered with a multi-layer filter pack and an activated carbon layer, it focuses on particle capture and odor reduction while matching OEM fitment and airflow requirements. Below you'll find practical details about performance, installation, compatibility and care so you can decide whether it’s the right filter for your Palisade.

How does this filter reduce dust and pollen inside the cabin?

The PUREFLOW PC99525X uses four filtration layers to intercept a wide range of airborne contaminants. These layers work together to hold larger road debris on the first layers while finer fibers and an inner media capture smaller particulates such as pollen and fine dust.

• Four-layer filtration media designed for staged particle capture
• Outer pre-filter removes larger road particles
• Fine fiber inner layers trap pollen and sub-micron dust
• Maintains cabin airflow while improving airborne particle removal

Will the activated carbon layer actually help with odors?

The integrated activated carbon layer is intended to adsorb many common vehicle odors that enter through outside air intake, such as exhaust and traffic smells. It won’t neutralize every scent source but can noticeably reduce routine exterior odors that would otherwise circulate through the HVAC system.

• Carbon layer targets odors and volatile organic compounds
• Helps manage everyday smells from traffic and exhaust
• Works passively—no maintenance or charging required

Is this filter a straightforward replacement for my Palisade?

Yes — the PC99525X is designed as a direct-fit replacement for Hyundai Palisade 3.8L model years 2020 through 2025, matching the dimensions and sealing features of the original part. Always verify fitment with your vehicle year and the Product/Vehicle Filter Lookup before purchasing.

• Direct-fit for 2020–2025 Hyundai Palisade 3.8L
• Replaces Carquest Premium Filters 97166 and 97166P
• Seals to the OEM housing to prevent bypass leakage

How often should I replace this cabin air filter?

Replacement frequency varies with driving conditions and local air quality; typical guidance is to check the filter every 12 months or 12,000–15,000 miles and replace sooner in heavy-traffic or dusty environments. Inspect the filter visually—if it shows visible dirt, discoloration, or reduced airflow, swap it for a fresh unit.

• Check at least annually or every 12,000–15,000 miles
• Replace sooner in dusty, high-pollen, or urban environments
• Visual inspection can reveal when airflow or capture is reduced

Who is this for? The Premium Guard PUREFLOW PC99525X is aimed at Hyundai Palisade owners who want a better-than-basic cabin filter that balances particle filtration and odor control without complicated installation. It suits drivers who prioritize cleaner in-cabin air, regular maintenance owners replacing OEM filters, and anyone replacing Carquest 97166-series filters with an equivalent fit. If you need a direct-fit, multi-layer cabin filter with an activated carbon layer for everyday odor reduction, this model is a practical choice.
