PRISMATIC POWDERS Super Chrome Plus polyurethane powder coating — 1 lb mirror-like chrome, high-reflectivity

Prismatic Powders Super Chrome Plus is a high-reflective chrome-like polyurethane powder coating formulated to deliver the brightest, mirror-like metallic finish available in our powder lineup.

Engineered for projects that demand a show-quality chrome appearance without wet plating, Super Chrome Plus provides outstanding reflectivity and depth while retaining the durability benefits of a polyurethane powder system. This 1 lb package is ideal for testing colors, small runs, repairs, or accent pieces on automotive parts, custom hardware, and decorative items. Because it’s a specialty reflective powder, correct surface preparation and application techniques make the difference between a good result and a truly mirror-like finish.

How is Super Chrome Plus different from standard metallic powders?

Unlike conventional metallic powders that provide a flake sparkle, Super Chrome Plus is formulated to maximize reflectivity and deliver a continuous chrome-like surface. Its unique pigment and resin combination yields deeper clarity and a brighter mirror effect when applied properly.

• Highest reflectivity among Prismatic Powders' polyurethane line
• Engineered for a chrome-like visual rather than just metallic sheen
• Requires precise application for optimal mirror finish

What surfaces and projects are best suited for this powder?

Super Chrome Plus works well on properly prepared metal substrates where a decorative chrome look is desired. It's commonly used for automotive trim, motorcycle parts, custom hardware, art pieces, and small production runs where wet chrome is impractical or too costly.

• Metal parts: aluminum, steel, and prepared ferrous substrates
• Trim, bezels, emblems, and accent hardware
• Decorative and custom fabrication projects

How should I apply and bake Super Chrome Plus for best results?

Preparation, powder film thickness, and curing profile are critical. Follow these general guidelines and consult technical data for exact settings; small differences in thickness or bake temperature can change the reflective outcome.

• Thoroughly degrease and properly grit-blast or chemically etch the substrate
• Apply a smooth, even film—avoid heavy orange peel or thin spots
• Cure according to manufacturer recommendations to optimize hardness and clarity

What finish characteristics and limitations should I expect?

While Super Chrome Plus achieves exceptional brightness, it behaves differently from electroplated chrome. Expect superb visual chrome that resists many common surface hazards, but understand that reflective powders may not perfectly match wet chrome in every lighting condition.

• Exceptional visual reflectivity and high gloss
• Durability of a polyurethane powder with good chemical and UV resistance
• May require topcoat or clearcoat layering for specific gloss or protection needs
