Rhino USA Trailer Coupler Lock Kit for 2-5/16in A‑Frame Couplers — Solid Steel, Keyed‑Alike Set

Rhino USA's Trailer Coupler Lock Kit secures 2-5/16" A-frame couplers with a heavy-duty steel lock and a keyed-alike latch pin to block theft and tampering.

This two-piece kit combines a robust coupler lock for 2-5/16" hitches and a matching pin-style latch lock so both components use the same key. Powder-coated for weather resistance, the kit fits common A-frame couplers with up to 4-3/8" lip width and 5/16" lip height, and it includes two identical keys plus Rhino USA's lifetime replacement protection.

How does this lock stop trailer theft and tampering?

The coupler lock physically prevents the ball from seating and locks the latch mechanism, denying quick hook-up attempts and casual tampering. Its thick steel construction resists cutting and prying better than thin cast or plastic alternatives.

• Solid steel body and internal locking core for increased force resistance
• Keyed-alike two-lock set prevents leaving extra keys at the hitch
• Pin lock secures standard tongue latches against accidental or intentional opening
• Powder-coat finish protects metal from rust in outdoor storage

Will this fit my trailer's coupler and latch?

The lock is designed for 2-5/16" A-frame couplers and compatible square coupler faces such as 50x50 and 50x60. It will not work on rolled-lip or underslung coupler designs and has maximum lip dimensions you should verify before purchase.

• Fits 2-5/16" couplers with max lip width 4-3/8"
• Max lip height allowed: 5/16" — measure your coupler edge
• Compatible with standard tongue latches using the provided pin lock
• Not suitable for rolled-lip or underslung couplers

How durable is the finish and how does it hold up outdoors?

Rhino USA applies a heavy-duty powder-coated finish that significantly reduces surface rust and corrosion from road salt, rain, and marine environments. Regular rinsing and occasional lubrication of the lock cylinder help maintain smooth operation and extend service life.

• Powder coat resists chipping and corrosion better than bare metal
• Stainless-style internal components reduce seizing in wet conditions
• Recommended maintenance: rinse, dry, and apply graphite or silicone lock lubricant seasonally
• Lifetime replacement backs up long-term reliability

What comes in the box and what support does Rhino USA provide?

You receive a two-lock kit with both the coupler lock and the pin latch lock keyed alike, plus two matching keys so you can operate both locks with one key. Rhino USA is family owned and offers USA-based customer service and a lifetime replacement policy if anything goes wrong.

• Coupler lock sized for 2-5/16" A-frame couplers
• Pin-style latch lock for standard tongue latches
• Two identical keys included for one-key convenience
• Lifetime replacement and US-based customer support

Who is this for? This kit is ideal for trailer owners who need a straightforward, heavy-duty anti-theft solution for 2-5/16" A-frame couplers: boat trailers, RVs, utility trailers, toy haulers, and work trailers stored at home, in driveways, or at job sites. If you need a lock for rolled-lip or underslung couplers, look for a model specified for those styles. For owners who prefer one-key convenience, weather resistance, and a brand-backed lifetime replacement, this Rhino USA kit delivers a practical balance of fit, finish, and support.
